"Booked a table for 5.45. Five people, drinks ordered on arriving, friendly waitress all good. Food order taken about ten minutes after drinks served. Waited about half an hour for mains, not a problem as food was great and clearly freshly prepared. After mains waited awhile for plates to be cleared upon which desserts were ordered. All desserts were cold so didn’t need much preparation or cooking. Again waited about ten minutes and desserts were all good. Up to this point was having a great night. We were more or less just about to ask for bill , when lady staff member came over and told us are we going to leave as table was booked for other party of people. The time at this point was 7.21pm. We were a bit speechless as the only reason we were still in the restaurant was because of the service, which by the way didn’t bother us. Good job we didn’t have starters or more drinks. What a shame"

"We were a party of adults so pre-ordered our fish, chips and peas the previous day. As the person who suggested this meal , a lot was riding on the quality of the food : we were not disappointed. Everyone raved about the quality and size of the fish , and the batter was amazing , so light and crisp. Despite a car journey back to the accommodation , the chips still tasted fresh and hadn’t gone into a soggy lump as from some shops , and even when going cold they were still tasty . Everyone voted this meal a great success . Well done to the Middleton in Teesdale shop; you deserve your national acclaim ."

"What can I say? Simply fabulous, wonderful pub and restaurant. Pleasantly designed interior with soft colors that provide a pleasant meal and drinking experience. Staff super friendly, polite and civilian. Now... the food. Large portions, hot, taste and taste. Veg comes as sides, is piping hot and tasty too. If you're in the area, you'll be booked and come there!"

"In my job travelling around the Uk, im fortunate enough to eat at many restaurants. Ill tell you now. Gabrielle's is HANDS DOWN the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. Reasons below Pulling up to the restaurant, straight away there was an italian vibe. Chilled, soft music in the background just loud enough to hear but not drown out conversations. Food, absolutely exquisite. Fantastic portions and amazing flavours. Value for money, for the level of food on offer id have expected to pay double than what we did. Staff. Every single one of the team were suoer friendly, really attentive and seemed genuinely happy to do everything they could for you. Id highly recommend the Lobster Raviolli to start. Garlic cheese bread. Slow roasted Porchetta with a side of Cabbage. Tiramasu and the Chocolate Moose."
