"So many excellent gelato places in Sydney and I think I’ve tried nearly all of them. For the first time I tried one of Gelato Messina’s selection. I was surprised that their Pistachio Praline was vanilla in colour not the usual pistachio colour. But I...went ahead and bought a scoop. No hint of pistachio, unless the sugary praline dumbs it down. Nice but not nice enough"

"Across the road from the wonderful Nithik’s Kitchen (which I also review this week), Rozelle’s renaissance continues under a gleaming chromed Art Deco style sign. Bellingen Gelato is co owned by Robert Sebes and his son Danny. Robert established the infamous Badde Manors Cafe in Glebe back in 1982 and began making gelato there in the late 1980s. In 2004 he sold the business, before opening up a gelato store in Bellingen, northern NSW. The catalyst for opening their first Sydney store was picking up the Grand Champion prize for their sorbet of stewed plum, cinnamon and cloves at the Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show . Danny tells me that all “ gelato is made on the premises using recipes developed by Robert over the past 25 years with the focus on strong flavours, high quality natural ingredients and keeping sugar to a minimum. ” After trying Watermelon Mint “ 85% watermelon and a bunch of mint ”; Burnt Caramel (which would also make a fabulous milkshake); and Macadamia"

"Walked by this place the other day and wanted to go in but I was in a rush. Today I remembered it and went to try their hot chocolate. I'm always ready to try any hot chocolate that actually uses chocolate in their drink and not just mixing powder into the cup. I really liked the hot chocolate even though it was little more than I wanted to pay. I would of liked more chocolate to be added into the drink in ratio to the milk but still that my liking and probably the way they make it is fine for most ppl. Probably I'd be back on a cold day to try some of their deserts"

"Bad if not worst OB store I've been to. Order a mango ice tea for $6.20, the store wasn't even busy.. the staff just keep talking and chatting when making the drink, needless to say, stuff up my order.<br>
The mango ice tea came out salty, told the staff and the only thing she said was oh.<br>
Definitely not going back again!"
