"The restaurant in this guest house provides a first meal of the accommodation visitor in the form of buffet breakfast, respectively half board. The tourist is mainly available lunch menu with several food of Austrian and international cuisine. I recommend to taste baked trout from my own scarf. the specialty of this pension (as well the name says) is the own source of healing mineral water with a natural radon, by composition of the reminiscent of the famous French spring evian. It is a total of the pension after a partially reconstruction with very nice staff, clean rooms and acceptable prices. atmosphere, beautiful nature, acceptable prices can forget about occasional long-term waiting times in the restaurant and late discharging of used dishes. A great place to relax and as a start point for hikes, cycling routes and many attractions of gastein valley."

"The Bertahof restaurant is easy to find, along the main road between Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein. It offers a range of regional cuisine, but unfortunately only one vegetarian main meal alternative (which was also very tasty). They even refused to only serve some side dishes. Nevertheless, highly recommended!"

"I loved this cafe its 10 minutes on the Kaiser Franz Josef Strabe walking track out of town. Beautiful cakes and coffee impossible to not go in and have afternoon tea."

"Cafe Christl is a small cafe right off the main strip in Bad Gastein. With so many places closed in the offseason, it was nice to find a spot for a coffee and quick snack after we visited a local spa. The owner was friendly and spoke English, and the menu was clearly marked with Allergens. This put our minds at ease, because my travelling partner is a Celiac and needs gluten free sustenance else she suffers the bathroom tax. I had a nice Latte and some decent apple strudel, and she had a peppermint tea and hot raspberries over ice cream which was devoured with the vigor of a viking after a long battle. We had a nice conversation with the owner and he told us the romantic story of how he came to be in this charming little town. Some other patrons were eating and the plates of food looked ample and tasty. I'd say this place deserves a try and would likely be a lot of fun in the evenings. 10/10, post spa treat me again."

"We ate lunch here the first day of our ski holiday and enjoyed it so much, we came back every other day except one for the week. Perhaps eating outside enhanced the flavour, but we loved the burgers, curry wurst and the spaghetti bolognese ..all washed down with a glass of Trumer. Prices were reasonable for on the slopes dining and the staff were very friendly. We decided to book in for an evening meal and took the single person chair lift to get there. We assume dour lift ticket would cover this but it turns out its s private chair lift and costs per person which we found surprising. The restaurant was pretty full when we got there and I guess since we had booked just the day before, we got the worst table in the house. Two rectangular tables were pushed together to form a square in a small attic type space where really there should only have been one. Our family sat around one table and another family sat around the other such that two of us sat alongside the other family and two sat opposite. It was a very strange and awkward setup. However, the food was very good, as was the wine selection. I had a Wagyu beef filet which was excellent and my wife had a Wagyu burger which she enjoyed. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. After dinner, we found seats around the fireplace on the bottom floor and enjoyed music played by a live band. Despite the poor seating arrangement at the meal, we greatly enjoyed the evening."
