"Once again we celebrated Mothers Day at Scoopies. It seems to be becoming a tradition. This visit wasn't so happy as the last one described though, for me anyway. The Coeliac (gluten free) Mother.Family group ordered and received their orders - all looking delicious, quickly and politely delivered. Me, I ordered the Gluten Free fish in foil along with the usual chips and salad. The fish arrived - I was so busy talking with family at first no alarms bells went off. I ate some of the fish and then noticed the residue on the outside of my fish...from leftover gluten filled batter etc on the grill. Enquiries to the staff confirmed my suspicion that the fish hadn't been cooked in foil as requested. Back it went and I waited while everyone else ate their lunches. My new order arrived, with the polite staff, I thanked them and tucked in. The fish was still raw in the middle but I was so hungry by then that I ate all the "cooked" bits.Difficult not to make a scene and get angry at your own Mothers Day celebration surrounded by well meaning family, some of whom don't understand the meaning of gluten free. If I eat gluten the result is pain, diarrhea and days of debilitating lethargy, unable to go to work or function properly. None of this known to the people who carelessly provided me with a tainted meal."

"Visited for lunch on Thursday 18th May. From the moment we walking in the front door to the time we left we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly barmaid who took our orders for drinks and wanted to know if we wanted their special of ribs and drink for $10.00. What a great deal, then we ordered our main meals which arrived very quickly, again by another friendly staff member. They have a very extensive menu which includes senior and lunch time choices, all at reasonable prices. We were very impressed with our visit and made a point of speaking with the Duty Manager to congratulate them on providing such a great time on our visit today."

"Visit this stone caffe at the corner, friendly staff fantastic selection at menu, beautiful water view. to use the corner quiet high tea tables set, porcellan cups, saucers, cake plates beautiful as oma to have why not load them their family, friends, ideal for baby showers, birthdays, aged care homes, church groups, now that we come out and come with for the experience too!"

"Tried for the first time. Ordered a medium serve of garlic king prawn noodles and a combination noodle. The size was good enough and food had flavour. Garlic king prawn did not have any king prawns in it. Look at the pic and you will see those tiny tin prawns and medium ones. Not many vege and those that were in there were tiny pieces as big as a 5 cent piece. The thick noodles were tough and chewy as if they were dipped in hot water, not even thrown on the hot plate to give that charcoal taste. Did not enjoy at all. The other was a combination. Menu says thin egg noodles yet they were the same thick ones as in the other dish. I didn’t try this meal but Hubbie said he enjoyed it. That’s all I can say. Overall good medium size serve, cheap enough at $24.60, good flavour and service was good. Truly don’t think I would order from here again I felt like I was eating rubbery uncooked noodles. Disappointing."

"We tried to book a table for Saturday night but they were booked out. After arriving at another restaurant only to find that their menu was nothing like the photos on their website, we phoned The Jetty again in case they'd had any no shows. We were in luck and got a table. The 4 of us were so glad we didn't give up as it was totally worth it. The food and service were both excellent Between us we had 2 entrees, 4 mains, 2 desserts and cocktails and they were all brilliant The staff were all efficient and friendly. The location is perfect. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Bribie Island and next time we'll be booking in advance"
