"My absolute favorite Asian restaurant in the Des Moines area. It’s a hidden gem! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I eat here probably every 2 weeks. They have a huge menu and probably about half or more can be made gluten free. I recommend the Bubble Teas, Chicken Satay, and of course gluten free fried rice. I get takeout too and it’s very fast."

"Good food (especially to go)... Nice quiet setting for a cuppa... Also a good spot halfway between Napier and Hastings for a quick meet up... Still a neat place for a nice coffee and a chat. ... and ... This time I needed the toilet as power was turned off while the switch board was replaced so no lights or hot water in our communal facilities. Had poached eggs on toast and a couple of mochas while doing the puzzle pages in the local paper. Meanwhile a larger sized honourary member of the 'sparrow gang ' (ie. A pigeon) was patrolling the premises making sure the floor remained clear of crumbs. At least 3 times it tried to leave by flying into the large fixed window above and to the right of the door instead of walking through said door like it did on entry. It was still patrolling when I left."

"Always a hit when I take clients or friends to Nicks. Great service, food is always done to perfection and the restaurant brings back the days of a supper club. This reservation was for lunch and my go to is the Chinese Chicken Salad. It never disappoints. The waitress did a great job of keeping our ice tea glasses full. I will always go back to Nicks."
