"Anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. It was beautiful. I took a star off for ambience as it was a touch on the old fashioned traditional dining for me, ie a bit quiet and formal. But really high class in terms of venue, food and service. Prices are fully in line or even a shade over London which I felt was a little much but not enough to spoil the evening."

"Really great place to breakfast. a lot of choice, a lot of food and everything really good quality. just something that could do with improvement is the coffee, maybe you see a YouTube video on steaming milk. except that it was a really pleasant meal and we will certainly be back!"

"I was initially a little put off by the fact that the place was empty when we visited, but my foodie radar told me this would be good it wasn't, it was great! The staff were really friendly and chatty, and let me join...in on Guess The Year of the song playing on the radio. The food was sooo good. We both ordered savoury scones, and then shared my wife's came with bacon and mine with cheese and they were excellent. I already can't wait to go back and have them again! We went in mid-afternoon, but breakfast would be good here based on the quality of the bacon, which was really thick-cut. Just don't make the mistake I did, and ask the waitress if her name is Martha Martha was a labrador !!!"

"The restaurant is instantly appealing; well decorated and atmospheric. We were well looked after throughout the meal. Menu is enticing. Had the anti pasti to start, chicken risotto for main and an incredible panna cotta for pudding. The whole meal was faultless. Thank you ! Totally recommended. As a side note it was full on a Monday note a good sign but be mindful to book."

"I have visited 4 times this year for breakfast and every time has been lovely. Excellent location right by the lake. Dog friendly. Lovely breakfast menu. Great service. Recommended to book.
