"Front terrace and inside was quite busy here, but in the backyard there were only us. and you can see Arthur’s Seat from there also.. they didn’t have ice coffee option but if you ask they can make it. had cappuccino myself, was a bit bland. it might be better to have tea here."

"I am aware that our geographic survey in all edinburgh is not entirely what it could be and will be from where we tend to spend most of our time. So when there was an opportunity to lunch in polwarth, I jumped by chance. for the first time the queen vicky had suggested the piecebox that sounded good to me. I had visited one because the nearby odds ends, and I heard good dinge about streat hawker in the polwarth tavern, but that is otherwise quite unexplored territory for me."

"Wonderful, friendly staff really looked after us. Well presented venue but with a homey feel! Well and truly looked after here! Food was also amazing we had dinner here one night and two breakfast and everytime was delish!! We stopped here on our honeymoon travels and the team left a very sweet little touch to the room! Highly recommend! Not far from the centre or train station either!"

"Godson an English student at Edinburgh University had his here in one of the larger cellar rooms back pre-COVID. Brilliant location for around students in black tie and a handful of us adults. The place is well used to large groups and did us proud. Food, drinks all flowed and a great time was had by all. Afterwards there are lots of nearby late-night choices, including downstairs at the Little White Pig opposite."

"Needless to say one of the best eggs benedict i ever had. The menu uploaded here needs a revamp as they have added few dishes. Eggs benedict with mozzarella,tomatoes and basil sauce PERFECT . They were more than willing to incorporate your request if u need any changes, i ask the ramen burger with a veggie twist which was not in the menu, however they obliged, unfortunately it wasn't that great. They made fresh vanilla cheese cake which was worth a try, pancakes was ok nothing great In the end, i would say this is an ideal breakfast place, i had been for lunch though !"

"Before the cinema at the ocean terminal a meal was broken in. the manager was very friendly, professional and polite and showed us on our table. angie served us and again was very helpful profi and polite. the food came really fast and was a good quality (spaghetti bolognese, mac and cheese, garlic pizza brot and pommes). we are both very happy and will come back."
