"Alonso 10 restaurant excels at service...the type of service usually reserved for high class, expensive dining experiences. The staff is both gracious and friendly. I had melon water, Mexican appetizer, and Aztec Soup. The food was well presented and tasty, and the live piano music enjoyable. It's a place for a quiet, classy meal not far from Jardin da la Union. What astounded me most was the inexpensive price for the quality of food and service."

"First of all, if you are getting anything less than 1/2 a chicken, you won't feel you are getting much chicken. Aside from that, however, it is all good stuff. It is a bit more expensive than some other rotisserie chicken spots, though not necessarily...any better. So the location is a big plus factor."

"I've eaten here since they first started on alonso. eating was always excellent and it is still. the latest location is the best yet with good attention to historical details. they are given water in an attractive glass when they first. down, which is a beautiful note. at a recent visit I had a mushroom burrito that I was cut into pieces that were accompanied with guacamole with a perfect sauce. I hesitate to write this because I do not adequately describe it. the dark mushrooms have a deep, harder taste. the cream brûlée was light and an interesting classic. Wednesday night is a special tasty bite with chair cellist from symphony playing."

"I was in Guanajuato for two months and Empanizarte had just opened the week I arrived. It is small, with wonderful service, the owners spoke both English and Spanish fluently. They specialize in vegetarian food, amazing salads that served as a full meal for my kids and I, homemade bread (some of the best I have ever had, so dense and healthy). I loved their hummus, which the owner made fresh while we waited. Their daily waters mixed with fruit juices and sugars are refreshing. too. With the warnings on eating lettuce, vegetables, and drinking the water in Mexico, I was so grateful for this place because I was honestly tired of washing all my fruits and veggies in Microdyn. Empanizarte made eating healthy very easy - everything was fresh and homemade. They also sell clothes and jewelry from India, so when entering the first time, I almost left because I thought it was a clothing boutique. The owners were very friendly, we enjoyed talks with them when eating there - they are compassionate, artistic, and friendly. It's small, so big groups are hard to accommodate big groups, but it also serves as an art gallery."

"That is a typical contemporary restaurant. the food was very good, especially the filet with scavenger sauce, the salad and the fresh brot they bake. the ribs are expensive, but excellent. I actually ordered them twice. the pastas are decent, the three cheese. more spicy than the pesto. the chocolate cake was dry. the wine list is small and expensive; the service is moderate, but not atypical for the opposite. that's a must-visit food in gto."
