"We were very confused. most places where we tried to insist on reservations. yes, it was a Saturday evening, but saint emilion is a city that is left with tourist during the day, but in the night. Maybe they didn't like the look of...ours (blood tourists! . we didn't want pizza, the only other offer that would take us along so that this place was being thrown away, we thought we would try our luck here. it is a simple menu that could be typical of a French bistro, so we were happy with it. in the ground it was meat with chips and boil sauce. the same thing on both. meat was well cooked and the sauce was delicious. we enjoyed the wine, and the atmosphere was quite chilled. interestingly we were removed with the other English speakers in the restaurant in the corner. I liked our visit and enjoyed the relaxed mood."

"My wife and I stayed here one night and after check in went to the pool where although the water was fresh' it was very refreshing after a walk around the vineyards. The room was very small but was ideally located too. The evening meal...was delicious and the chef and main manager were good. The traffic noise was probably the only point but I still slept ok. St Emilion is a great place and we really enjoyed it! "
