"Great NT café. not the cheapest, but not expensive, always beautiful diners and drinks, also national trust shop with beautiful selection of gifts and useful clothing accessories. the cafe has a large area next to the beach to sit with several NT wooden rund seats with spatzen on the tap for cake and pasty crumbs, also has a small in-house with tables and a small sitting area in the ground floor, large sitting area in the upper floor, ideal for all family and dogs, right next to brean for hilly adventuries, 7,5 several wcs including 1 for the less capable of us. recommend the pasties and beautiful coffee."

"We arranged to meet some friends here for lunch half-way between them and us. It was a good choice there was plenty of space, there was a warm welcome and service was excellent. The food was excellent also humus and cheddar mushrooms...as starters, roasted salmon, roast duck and steak and ale pie for main courses. It was a very relaxing convivial occasion."

"One of the nicer places I have visited in my time come here with some friends of ours and we had a really nice meal. The staff were very nice and friendly and the atmosphere was great. The food was of excellent quality and you couldn't fault it. The drinks were a bit over priced then most pubs and restaurants in the area and the limited dessert menu was a bit of a let down but other than that you can't fault the place as a whole. I am sure we will return soon for another nice meal in the wacky decorated place."

"We met a friend here for lunch and having never been here before didn’t know what to expect. The bar area and garden room was quite pleasant with a nice log fire burning in the main bar area. The food menu was quite extensive and...what we ordered was very tasty and well presented. The steak and kidney pie was one of the best I’d had in a pub and presented like no other I had seen before. My wife and our friend had fish which they enjoyed very much. If I was to be critical then I would say the food could be served hotter or on hot plates but that is being a little picky. It was unfortunate that there was no one else in the pub whilst we were there so there was no ambiance. However we will definitely return but probably not until the new year."

"We were staying at a b&b near by and walked along to the Wheatsheaf pub 2 evening’s...the first evening we enjoyed a salmon burger brioche bun and coleslaw ..the second evening we were lucky enough to enjoy fresh scallops ....The owner Johnathan also showed us around the smokery ...good family business ......"
