"Excellent choice to stop for picnic/camping feel dinner. Enjoyed BYOB on picnic tables with top notch food. Pick up your order at the counter on a picnic tray with utensils, served fresh hot in to go type containers (our meals fit in containers with lids, unlike other diners with the full lobster meals).The steamers were delicious, along with the tasty lobster roll with plentiful meat, and the Nashville chicken sandwich was ?bang bang? delicious, as quoted by the one of us who ate that. I even loved the French fries! Blueberry pie was good. Cole slaw could have passed on not as soft as I prefer. Staff was friendly, and the area was clean and well kept. We were even checked on at our picnic table. Probably will return for another meal on this same trip!!"

"Lobster roll is just alright. We ordered the hot lobster roll which was different from the other lobster rolls we had. To me it seemed like it was stir fried or something. We got the friend mussels which are good. Chicken tenders are just ok. They are takeout only but they have a seating area."

"Really delicious and elevated. Portions are reasonable and the food is expertly prepared. The only downside is that we were at one of the smaller two person bench tables and the server had to wedge herself between us and the table next to us to serve them. It was pretty awkward to have her backside so close to our table quite a few times. It's a small restaurant. We would definitely return when the weather is nicer so we can sit outside. Service: Dine in"

"Food was overall excellent, I had the crab cake special and it was one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. My partner had the fried chicken sandwich and it was another winner. Smashed potatoes and biscuits were excellent, roasted cauliflower was a little underdone and over dressed with a not so flavorful sauce. Price was fair, and we were grateful they were open off season! My only comment about atmosphere would be to suggest to turn the lights down… it’s super bright and lowering the lights is an easy way to create coziness and warmth."

"A fine dining experience was recommended to us at the Claremont Hotel. We showed up for our reservation and the host sat us at a two-person table between two other two-person tables. This is a very nicely decorated restaurant, and I was glad we dressed for the occasion. I was surprised that one of the people sitting next to us was in a hoodie, but you never know where they were coming from before getting dinner. It 's a national park, after all. It was immediately obvious that the menu was different from what was online. The strongest selling factor was the whole lobster that was on the sample menu. We ordered a couple of drinks and a delicious shrimp appetizer, which we raved at how good it was. We decided on different main courses. I ordered steak and my partner ordered a seafood medley. When they arrived, the seafood medley had pasta, which my partner missed in the description, and couldn 't eat. He told the waiter this, and the manager quickly came over and offered to get him a different dish. So he ordered salmon. I started eating my meal since it was getting cold. His meal didn 't come out until after I was finished (I guess this was to be expected). I did tell the waiter that it 's less than ideal that we 're eating separately. It just wasn 't our expectation. That all said, both meals were delicious! We ordered a second round of drinks and asked for the check. The bill was over $200, so my partner asked if they had charged for the first dish or given any sort of discount. I told him that they didn 't charge us for the first dish, but there also wasn 't any sort of discount. That 's when things really took a turn. The man in the hoodie next to us turned to my partner and told him that he had enough . This was his restaurant and he didn 't want us to say anything bad about it. I told him he was rude for engaging in our conversation and asked if he was really the owner. He said he was and told us to leave. He wouldn 't even let me pay the check, though I fully intended to pay. I 've never been treated so poorly. This man made me feel like a criminal. If he really was the manager and felt the need to listen to our conversations, he should have stepped in and helped with the situation instead of making it our worst experience ever. The food was an A+. The service was a solid B. The owner was an F-."

"We grabbed a slice of blueberry pie after a short hike. There were only a couple slices out on the display so I'm not sure how long the pie was sitting there. I appreciated the amount of blueberry filling and it wasn't too sweet, but wasn't particularly impressed with the pie overall. I'm sure it would've tasted better if it were more fresh! But otherwise really great filling to crust ratio."
