"Oh my gosh! We had the best time tonight at St Kilda, delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a reasonable price especially if splitting some platters, plates and sides with a small group. Ell was an absolute standout, we are so grateful for her generosity and lovely service. She made the experience so special!"

"As the restaurant was next to our hotel, made a good impression and had very good ratings, we choose to have dinner here. A good decision! Very friendly staff, who gave us good recommendations and explained the menu. We had the course menu, which...was very good. Some starters, a main course and a desert, although we counted only courses (perhaps the main course and the additional side dishes counted separately We never had Sri Lankan food before and really enjoyed it. Nice choice of wines, the shiraz was very good. Not really cheap, but good value for money. Very recommendable!"

"Veludo is my go to place when I am in St Kilda which is probably only half a dozen times a year, but it is always inviting, the staff are interesting and friendly, food awesome (especially the pork belly) and you can watch the people go by for an affordable price. Love it!!"

"Have now visited twice since the menu changed a couple of weeks ago. The food was outstanding - really flavoursome, huge quantities and lots of variety in the tapas section. Best things were Moroccan lamb ribs, calamari and beef skewers. The children ate for free - huge portions of freshly cooked food. Even better, there's happy hour for drinks too! Returned a week later to sample the burgers ($10 each on a Wednesday) and again impressed. Waitress very friendly and attentive too. Not sure when the previous negative reviewers went, as our experience was only a good one. Highly recommend."

"From my first bite of their Vegetarian Green curry, i've been hooked. The blend of veggies and curry was perfect. The side of rice was cooked just right as was the roti. Very filling. My friend does not stop talking about the Tangy Chicken Wings."

"Always good here; no blaring music, pleasant staff and good, reasonably priced meals. Occasional noise from TV, billiards area doesn't impact on dining area. Thursday steak night is to be highly recommended but don't let too many people know !"

"Went to this place like 9 years ago and it’s still pretty freakin awesome. Got there $20 lunch special with fried chicken, a dragon roll and a rainbow roll, some nigori sake, a pot of green tea and some edamame went down a treat. Reasonably priced as well. Definitely a cool spot. Gotta come back and have a few more of the other rolls."
