"Been for a lovely walk and returned to the car park, decided on a visit to the cafe, you have to pass, for a nice cuppa and maybe a large slice to cake.. Disappointed to find it was an instant machine, from a rude employee who clearly thought us too much of an inconvenience.. Certainly wouldn’t recommend or go back.."

"On the way to home from a fantastic day at the South Down Beach we decided to visit the water mill for tee. at the arrival there was a large parking space and a great beer garden. in the restaurant we were met by a friendly waiter. we decided to eat outside on the terrace and there was a great menu with pub classics like lasagne, pizza, steak, burger and so on. we all had the fish and chips that were beautifully presented and tasted super. the portions were good. the restaurant was very busy and clean with a lot of handsanitary. we would definitely recommend a visit, especially if they like family friendly land pubs."

"We made a booking at least 3 weeks ago for lunch on the 24th November and had also confirmed this booking a week before the date. We arrived on the 24th November for this lunch with an elderly infirm person in our party of 4 to celebrate his 81st birthday. To our horror when we got to the door there was a notice stating that the establishment was closed and sorry for the inconvenience , Inconvenience was not the word to describe our predicament! When we made the booking and confirmation, both of these times we left our telephone contact and requested that if any problems to kindly let us know. To get our elderly infirm friend from the car park at the rear to the front door to be met with this notice was a shock to say the least. We all get problems, but a telephone call in this instance would have saved a lot of unnecessary distress. Customer service!!!!!!!! We will never visit or recommend this establishment again. P.S. We were able to find another eatery nearby, but as the dining room was full and at such short notice we were forced to eat in a very noisy bar,which was not ideal for our elderly friend but suppose it somewhat salvaged the occasion."
