"Nipped in when in Bladon and were lucky enough just to make the Sunday Roast. Absolutely superb great potatoes and the service was fantatsic."

"During our visit to Blenheim we were directed to the Water Terrace cafe as the group wanted a hot meal. On arrival the restaurant did not look too busy and we able to find a table. We realised it was a buffet cafe- which was not a problem, until we were standing there for over 30 minutes waiting to be served our meal. It turned out they had no hot food from the menu available. The queue had a come to a stand still! No member of staff explained what the problem was or how long we would need to wait. No management front of house. All left to one young member of staff who appeared to be overwhelmed. It was chaos! The situation could have been made better if a staff member in charge actually took charge, and worked out a better procedure in light of these situations to placate people, and inform them of the situation and reassure that everything is under control. After 3 members of the group finally got something to eat I did not) they told me it was definitely not worth the wait. Mediocre. Probably the same quality half price in Wetherspoons. No discount or vouchers offered. No apology for poor service. Considering where we were. It was a long way from good service and grandeur."

"Splendid food, but surly staff!La Galleria has the makings of an excellent restaurant because the location is perfect and the food is exquisite (and accordingly expensive). Refreshingly, it is Italian-owned and run, but unfortunately I won't eat there anymore because on more than one occasion the staff have been rude. My boyfriend took me there for Valentine's Day last year and the waitress smirked at us and made a snide comment! Then, while having a birthday dinner there, the staff were extremely pushy and not at all accomodating, even though one of our party was late because she had been in a serious car accident that day! The staff huffed when some of my less well-off friends wanted to order starters as their main course, and sneakily gave us bottled water when we had ordered tap water. As if that wasn't bad enough, one of the waiters made lascivious comments to one of my girlfriends. I really wish I'd complained because it ruined my birthday outing. The whole experience was so stressful and unpleasant that I haven't been back. The staff clearly have issues with hospitality so on that basis, I cannot recommend La Galleria."
