"Very nice place, spacious. Due to the situation, the restaurant was unfortunately still closed, but it helps self-catering. Sanitary facilities were very well maintained. We felt very comfortable. Sure again!"

"We stayed at Café Landlust on Saturday, coffee and cake. Large cake selection, delicious coffee, as well as tea. Very friendly staff. Today we were four for breakfast. Great food. Sensational. And again a perfect service. We like to come back."

"This looks like a pub from the outside, but the impressive menu on display outside attracted us in and I'm very glad that we went along with our curiosity. On entry it again seemed predominantly like a drinking establishment, but when we asked for a dining table we were ushered to a private dining room towards the rear. The elderly gentleman who was serving was very friendly and efficient. The menu was full of choice and the food was undoubtedly the best we experienced in Xanten (by far). The wine list was mainly German white but a good range to choose from across dry to sweet. Our dry Niersteiner actually went very well with the lamb."

"Wir sind oft in diesem Restaurant. Dem Restaurant ist eine Fleischerei angeschlossen. So wundert es nicht, dass die Fleischgerichte von bester Qualität sind. Das Lokal ist freundlich und hell eingerichtet und das Personal zuvorkommend und kompetent.Zu empfehlen sind Rheinischer Sauerbraten mit Klössen und Rotkohl.Auch die anderen Speisen, wie Fischgerichte sind sehr lecker. Wir wurden bei unseren Besuchen nie enttäuscht"

"I can only see that the reviews from 2013 are clearly outdated. I only know the house since 2015 and it is obviously no longer comparable to the old house. It is now very harmoniously furnished maritim, the service is friendly and professional and the clear menu offers something for every taste. We like to go to dinner and coffee."

"Bestellte Eissorte war aus. Service hat mir ein anderes Eis gebracht ohne Bescheid zu sagen, dass ursprüngliche Eissorte nicht mehr verfügbar ist. Kann passieren. Die Situation hätte man nutzen können, um mich zu einem begeisterten Kunden machen zu können. Chance leider verpasst."

"Xanten cuisine is hearty rather than refined, but this place comes as close to fine dining as anywhere. Very pleasant surroundings too. As with most local restaurants, the menu relies heavily on pork, but there are plenty of fish and veggie options too. The champagne and mustard soup I had was very tasty indeed, but within our party no one had any complaints with anything. Watch the portion size though they are huge!"
