"We have been to Margaux on a few occasions, and I am sad to read that the restaurant will close at the end of March 2015, as the lease is not renewed. The food is well prepared and presented, and quality of ingredients is generally high. Foie gras and crispy calamaretti are excellent starters, and the 'catch of the day' will not let you down as a main course. There are two menus on offer, but with wine pairings they are a little expensive, and you'll probably be better off 'à la carte'. Friendly and attentive service; the atmosphere of the restaurant is warm. Prices tend to be a little on the high side, though."

"Great atmosphere in this busy brasserie -type restaurant, the legendary lady of the house keeping things in order and all guests duly happy! The chasse dish we had (noisettes de chevreuil) was truly exceptional, with seasonal trimmings that were all in themselves small masterpieces of perfectly matched ingredients. Begnins is on the Route des vins so local choices for a good accompanying red wine abound. Deserts great. The service is fast, efficient and friendly; we will soon return!"
