"As newcomers to the city this will certainly now be on the restaurant rotation. Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, wine recommendations perfect. Beef cheek the highlight, scallops nice although I wouldn't say exceptional, duck pasta very good. Sadly no room for sweets so we will have to come back soon!"

"We received a friendly greeting from the waitress as soon as we entered. We were offered a choice of seating and we chose upstairs. The waitress followed us up with table water, glasses and menus. It was very cosy and comfortable upstairs and our meals came out quickly. Everything was fresh and tasty. The menu prices are a little more than we usually like to pay but still acceptable. There are toilets inside the venue too which is convenient. We enjoyed our meals and would definitely go back again."

"We visited Bryher for a Sunday morning breakfast, and had to wait a while for our pre-booked table to be cleared. There were only two staff working the front of the cafe, and one of them was on the coffee machine so the other had to take all the orders, deliver the food and clean tables. We had pre-booked but still had to wait for our table to be cleared and cleaned. The table next to us was empty when we arrived but the dirty dishes were not cleared until about 20 minutes after we'd been seated.We ordered coffees and had quite a long wait to receive them, around 20 minutes. When the waitress delivered them and took our breakfast order, we also asked for water which took another 15 minutes to arrive. Our two meals took at least half an hour to come out, and were very good. Another waitress started working around the time our water was delivered. The cafe was full by this time, with quite a number of people also waiting for takeaway coffees.We ordered the Croque Monsieur and the baked eggs with goats cheese and caramelised onion. The croque was very rich, so I was glad my partner and I were going halves. The baked eggs were a little bland but once I added some salt and pepper they were better. There was no sauce with the baked eggs, which I found to be a bit unusual. They were simply eggs cooked in a dish with some goats cheese and a small amount of caramelised onion added on top. Both dishes had good flavours and we enjoyed our meals.It took quite a while to pay for our meals as the two waitresses on the floor were taking orders, the other was on the coffee machine and there were people in a queue ordering takeaway coffees that we had to wait for.Overall, good food and coffee but the wait for it all to arrive was just too long."
