Great coffee and even better food. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. I have this place now almost every day. The breakfast is also really good. Highly recommended. Can not leave the staff. They are all great friendly and helpful. :-) View all feedback.
What Valentine Guerin doesn't like about Exeter Bakery in the City:
I have fairly regularly visited this Cafe, sometimes to eat others just to enjoy a coffee and read the paper. The food has always been good and also the service, however there is one waitress who can appear not so friendly at times. Today I only went for coffee and to read a newspaper while doing so. After relaxing for approximately 40 minutes this lady came over and rudely asked if I wanted anything else, when I sai... View all feedback.
On the afternoon the cafe oneosix was protected by a small family and another group on the upper floor. the personal has made menus available and was not unfriendly, but might have had a long week like the type as the menu was set. caesar salad from the salat menu and battered fish of the day (with salat and chips) from the midday mains menu when I asked about the portion size of the fish, I was told that it was a generous size and that there were three pieces of fish. I have specifically asked if it is large pieces of finger, which many restaurants tend to serve here in tasmania. the waitress gave me the impression that they were generous pieces, but in their answer was illusory the meals came after...read more
Great coffee and even better food. relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. I visited this place almost daily. the breakfast is also really good. highly recommended. the personal can't let out either. they are all very friendly and helpful.
Great serviettes and they provide gluten-free intolerances and also have milk alternatives only at the bottom that they do not use tea leaves and their tassen are much too thick for tee dreadful food picture I must admit, but it was so beautiful and I was so hungry that I forget to make a picture before I started! oops

Arrived mid afternoon and Cafe OneOsix was patroned by a small family and another group upstairs. Staff provided menus and were not unfriendly, but may have had a long week?Like the way the menu was set out. Ordered Caesar Salad from the Salads Menu and Battered Fish of the Day (with salad and chips) from the Lunch Mains Menu. When I asked about the serving size of the fish I was told it was a generous size and that there were three pieces of fish. I specifically asked if they were large pieces of fingers, which many restaurants here in Tasmania tend to serve. The waitress gave me the impression they were generous pieces, but was illusive in her response. The meals arrived after about minutes or so pretty good timing. Fish was beautifully cooked crispy batter and melt in the mouth flakey on the inside. Chips were perfectly cooked and like the fish, crunchy outside and soft within. Beautiful. Salad was lovely, with a hint of dressing to bring it all together. However, as pictured, I received two slivers of fish that were certainly not large or generous, a small handful of chips and salad side the kind of serving for tje steep price of I wpuld expect at a restaurant and not a cafe.Caesar salad was well presented, however only tasted okay as the dressing and crispy bacon lacked flavour. Was missing something. At this was also a steep price for a salad.Overall, fish was excellent, Caesar was average and the price was what I wpuld expect frlm a restaurant, with small serving sizes for the price.Good quality food but if your looking for a value for money lunch meal Cafe OneOsix is perhaps not the one for you. Could dine at a restaurant at these prices.
