"I had been curious to try this place for a long time since they seemed to always be so packed any time we visited Genkotsu Ramen or Charcoal BBQ next door. 'Finally today is the day' I thought as we walked into Little Lamb Hot Pot. We got in pretty early and the restaurant was only half full then it started to fill up through the evening. We picked two soups which were regular non-spicy soup and red spicy soup, then paid at the counter before starting our meal. It was around $29 per head. Looked for the table as we were given the table number. Let's the dinner begin!

The table has two cooking equipment sitting on. One was the induction stove for hot pot and the other was charcoal grill with a mechanism that turns your meat skewers slowly for even cooking.

There were so much going on in the food area. We felt a bit overwhelmed by the number of food. There were different types of meat skewers in one of the fridges; chicken, beef, lamb, fish, squid, prawn, as well as offal. I quite enjoyed pork intestine grilled to crisp on the outside and still soft on the inside and chicken skin. There were two whole big counters for soup ingredients, another fridge for thinly sliced meat for 'shabu-shabu', and yet another fridge for more soup ingredients such as various types of meatballs and also side dishes. The list doesn't end here. There were also, to both ends of the area, drink stations and ice cream freezer.

You also mix your own dipping sauce here with 3 bases they provide; sesame sauce, BBQ sauce, and spicy sauce. Don't get mixed up between BBQ sauce here and typical western BBQ sauce we all know. Their 'BBQ sauce' was meant for grilled meat. I mixed it with garlic paste and coriander. 'Voila!' Then I picked up sesame sauce for my hot pot with just a little bit of chilli oil, sesame oil, and spring onions. There are endless possibilities to how you can mix your own sauce given the number of condiments they provide. So go nuts!

Back to the table, there were two shakers on one end of the grill which are cumin salt in one and chilli in the other for sprinkling onto the meats while it's cooking. Food is quite salty so go easy on those. A stainless steel cylinder for all your used skewers. Induction stove's controller is on the side of the table. We had our hotpot sitting there not boiling for 15 minutes til we found that out.

The food was above average with fairly reasonable price. Even though it left me with smokey smelling hair, I quite like their concept and the overall experience of the night. It was interesting. *Do not recommend for anyone with severe MSG allergy."

"On Friday we went there at 1 o'clock as they promote that they are now open on Friday for lunch. but we could not eat there as they had to close. deorganized? very disappointed. the personal also showed a very bad customer service. we were wondering what happened in the restaurant. some employees saw us, but we were ignored. Finally we asked a female staff for a table for 4 people. however, she pointed out the closed sign at the door and said that they were closed as if we could not read/see it."

"Had dinner at this eatery last night. Correct me if I am wrong that I have a gut feeling of a new management again since my last visit. Business was very quiet last night and there were plenty of parking spaces in the Market Square and also many unoccupied tables in this restaurant. <br/ We ordered the “KL” stir fry ‘starch noodles’, Roti Canai Curry Chicken and a dish of Penang Lobak. It was a shock to us about the generous portions of the dishes that we ordered. Curry flavour of the chicken was good and there were three large pieces of tenderised chicken there. There were plenty of starch noodles stir-fried with shrimps, eggs and chives and the flavour was wonderful. Penang Lobak was very crispy and we both like the dips. <br/ Overall, dining experience is decent. <br/ <br/ May 05, 2018 <br/ Re-explored this eatery last night since the first review nearly three years. Correct me if I am wrong, I think it has changed the management since I visited last time. Service was prompt and friendly. Just ordered two dishes to share with the hot Citroen Tea. Hot drinks came very fast with average standard. The first savoury dish came to the table was the K.L. Stirred fried Starch Pearl noodles. It was quite hot with heaps of chili heat. Loved the taste and the texture of the starch noodles. Penang Prawn noodles soup was slightly under the par. Not because of the prawns or BBQ pork but due to the soup base, which was as good as the restaurant 's competitor, particularly the Mama Malaya along Logan Road near Underwood. In addition, the chilli hot of this soup covered the taste of all the other ingredients. Have rooms to be improved. Having said that food production is still consistent and it is not a bad choice for a quick dinner. <br/ <br/ Jun 25, 2015 <br/ When you drive in Market Square Food precinct from McCullough Street, you will see how busy this café is. A lot of people will reckon tihs cafe is one of the Hong Kong Style cafe, indeed, it is a Malaysian Street-food style cafe but adopting some Hong Kong Style cafe 's specific drinks. The menu offers a lot of specific Malaysian street-food such as Dry Curry Egg Noodles, Roti Canai, 'Bah Kut Teh ', 'Char Keow Teow ' 'Har Mee ', Nasi Goreng........ so rich and so tasty. No wonder they branch out so fast and have quite a few siblings restaurants in Brisbane."
