"This is the training restaurant for Hospitality students, so everyone is still learning. That being said, the service and food is better than a lot of other restaurants in town. The students are all polite and willing to help and the food is always top...class. They are very good with providing gluten-free options (mention allergies when you book). Prices are always very reasonable. We go several times each year, usually in a group. TIP: check opening times and which menu is being offered, we once got an amazing degustation menu. Make sure you arrive on time."

"We had our friends and food group here . About 28 people. The bar created 3 special drinks for our group at a great price. We had a cocktail hour that was then ordered from the menu. You have a great system to keep all controls separate that triggered a breeze! Server Tony S. Matthew D. were excellent. You have set a nice area for our group, it was very welcoming. They are professionals, which means that this is their basis of existence, so they are very invested to offer all guests the best service. The food: I have eaten several times here and I try to order something else. Last night I had the Fish Fry Special. I ordered the fried one. (They also offer baked) The dough was light and the fish was flocky. A certain element to return. Overall: This is a hidden GEM in the Quad Cities. The hotel is located at the Steeplegate Inn Hotel on the very north end of Brady St at I-80. Most people don't know it's here. They are closed on Sundays, but there is a Sunday morning brunch in his sister business Prarie Grill on the same grounds. Available rooms: They have several private rooms for groups and rooms that can accommodate a very small group to a very large group. Christie the chef was really helpful combined with Tony Matt from the Front of House. Photos come from our event before guests arrive. I was so busy enjoying myself and the atmosphere I didn't make any food pictures on this trip."

"Place should be shut down from the health department. I come from food service and I've never seen so many violations. I watched the bartender cut up fresh fruit, wipe her face, stir drinks with a straw (WHERE MY MOUTH GOES), empty trash and customer's napkins, then go back and place veggies in a customer's bloody mary. All of this was done without washing hands or putting on gloves. Ready-to-eat-foods should never be touched with bare hands. The entire staff did this practice throughout the whole restaurant. Thank God I didn't get buttered toast because the server wiped her hands on her dirty apron and grabbed the toast and buttered it with her bare hands. No health department reviews posted as required as for good reasons because their last review showed all these same violations. Please get your restaurant together and get some real management that knows what they're doing and is serve safe certified. Will never eat there again! I'm sure I'll have Pepto for dessert later."

"Home Style goodness on each row. Super friendly staff. You really go out the way to connect with guests. This place is not only a typical hotel bar and barbecue. The fish fry or baked is amazing. Best in town, every Friday and Saturday. This place can treat your crowd or group. This bar shares the complete kitchen of the Prairie Grill and all its special event meals."

"Just went for first time today. Food was cold, went for a price of roast beef and they give a slice about the size of a credit card. Waste of 40.00 I highly do NOT recommend"
