"Terrible service! I just drove in especially for their bubble tea, the time was 1/4 to 9... The young girl told me they ran out of pearls.... I asked for bubble tea with none... she replied I have shut the machine off and I don 't...want to turn it back on She had 15 mins still before closing with people still having dinner inside. I pointed out to her... the advertised opening hours said 9:00pm... To which she turned her back and started washing dishes! Wow! With so many great places to go to.... Such arrogant manners! DO NOT GIVE this business your money... they obviously do not need it."

"Haven't had Chinese food for ages as can't handle MSG. But I'd have to say this was the best I've had in a long time. We had sizzling beef and vegetable and chicken dish was so delicious and authentic and I don't think had MSG because I didn't get s reaction. Only thing is they gave us plates to eat off and other Asians eating here ate in bowls. Would've preferred bowls. Excellent Tasmanian wine here too."

"Very, very, very expensive! But the food was amazing, as good as everything I had in HK, Shanghai, Singapore etc., etc. <br>

Seafood were so fresh. Crab Hot Pot ($ 42) was amazing. Braised Abalone Entalone ($ 450 for 150g) was heavenly, I just wanted it to gave it more. Even the simple fish soup (12 US dollars) was so full of taste. <br>

In any case, to come a place if you have the cash (or the expense account) and impress. It is more of a rotatable / formal location than casual. The service was excellent and impeccable. <br>

"Given the lack of Singaporean, and Malaysian cuisine in Hobart - Kopitiam is "enough" to satisfy the terrible craving that one would get when living in Hobart for our routine staples . Their Hainanese chicken rice, char siews are all not too bad.However, given the lack of competition - we have found on a number of occasions that the service is poor, with inconsistent opening times. An opening time of 11am, and they would let us wait ( in the cold, with a baby ) 15 minutes without inviting us in despite the opening times. The second time we were there, it was before rush time, and the owner moved us twice, and moved another couple 3 times while they were eating to accommodate for " rush hour" when the shop was still relatively empty. And she did not even say sorry for the inconvenience. Given the poor service I have found it very difficult to return, however, the occasional craving for food from home brings me back every now and then."
