"Came here on a whim and peeking through the window, we were sold. You are invited through the small frontage to an array of delicious looking baked good all laid out on the coffee counter and front sil. You can opt to sit in the sunnier front of the cafe or move down into the ambiently lit area in the back. Staff are friendly and attentive and the menu looked very interesting.<br>

We ordered the sticky chai, tumeric latte, pork belly burger and duck dumplings with noodles and soup as well as brownie and cake to go. <br>

The tumeric latte($4.5) was nicely spiced but the kind of tea where you leave a little behind in the cup due to the tea sediment in the cup. The sticky chai ($5) was great on the cold day and the serving was very generous. <br>

Our mains arrived quickly and the burger was the winner. The bread to filling ration was great, the filling was nice with a sauce that will dribble down your chin. It lacked a bit of sharpness for our tastes but it was a minor complain as our empty plate proved.<br>

The duck dumplings were an interesting dish. The noodles, broth and greens were warm and inviting but very subtly flavoured compared to the dumpling. The dumpling wrappers were a bit soft but the filling was flavourful. It's the sort of meal you try and get one bit of everything in each spoon to strike the perfect balance. <br>

The food was interesting and different which appealed to us and the ambience perfectly suited to fun group conversations or brooding singular contemplation. Will be returning to try other baked goods and menu items"

"I tend to love the vibe and decor at Mexican restaurants. They are usually colourful, with a bar-like, fun atmosphere. Calaveras was no different. Great place for drinks and winding down after a long week.<br>

To share, we ordered the guacamole, some tacos and the beef fajita. Guacamole was fresh and a great starter. I would have happily eaten a whole serving (or 2) on my own. The plates of tacos came next, with a mix of pulled pork, chicken and fish; and I couldn't help notice that the tacos were very small. Anyway, taste wise, they were decent, but were not excellent either. They all seemed to taste the same from the red sauce. They were spicy, but lacked those Mexican flavours i was after. The beef strips for the fajitas came out over some rice + 3 tortillas to the side (what's with restaurants serving food in odd numbers). Fajita was ok, spicy as well, though i didn't like the beef strips being cut too fine. They reminded me of mince and looked rather cheap. <br>

Right now, i would prefer to come here for drinks and just snacking on some food (pre-dinner), but with some tweaks to the menu, they can get people to stay for a proper dinner and order more food."

"My wife (she is from Japan) and I love Teikoku. We go for sushi and sashimi because it is the absolute best. Unlike so many other sushi bars, the selection and freshness at Teikoku is no second. We know the Master Sushi-Koch, Koichi Aoyama before he comes to Teikoku and are so glad you have him. On the way home from dinner my wife and I agreed that we must come more often! Thank you, Chef Aoyama and Teikoku."

"Was a great Friday night we spent there. Staff are A CLASS. They were super fast and super friendly. Food was delicious. Probably the best Turkish I had on South King Street. It wasn't over crowded or over noisy, which was great for a Friday. Only one thing though: we hoped to hear traditional Turkish music and a bit of an ambience. Since it was rainy, we had to sit upstairs; which was a bit too bright and country Aussie wasn't doing it for us. With small improvements, Konak can become a local favourite for all. Thanks heaps guys!"

"Very interesting selection of japanese flavours (yuzu muffin, bacon wasabi roll, various curry buns) as well as some western-style offerings. The pastries I bought were all good, the standout being the mentaiko bread, which was a robust savoury baguette with mentaiko (fish roe) butter.<br>
Overall lovely bakery with some unique offerings, I'll make my way to Enmore again to sample some more."
