"We finished our Canada Day volunteering at the park and enjoyed a wonderful, comfort dinner. I enjoy the seafood linguine but chose to go with the salmon burger with zoo sticks. My salmon burger was an actual filet of salmon. It was moist with just...a hint of bbq grill. Unfortunately the zoo sticks were quite tasteless, being under seasoned, a bit of a disappointment. My husband had the big cheddar burger which was beautifully cooked. He had the kennebec fries and he was very satisfied with his meal. I would definitely have the salmon burger again. Service was a bit slow due to a large party putting in their food order just ahead of us."

"This happened a little while ago, but TripAdvisor keeps asking me to write another review, so here it is. Out of five visits here, I had three bad experiences. 1. A server scolded me, because I switched my drink with my friend 's drink. I knew...which drink was mine, but the server thought that she knew better. 2. I politely asked if I could turn a table about 22.5 degrees. The server (a different one--one that had been doing extremely horrible drunk karaoke there a week or two before said no, and I understood. I did not argue; however, she had to shout, The tables are set up like this for a reason! before storming off. This ruined my night. I left, and I wrote two negative reviews elsewhere (one was on Facebook . Management posted a reply to my review, saying that I should contact the owner. I did not contact the owner, as I felt that it was not my job to be calling the owner to rectify the situation. Time passed, and my friend (the same one from earlier told me that patrons there had been asking about me. I figured, Why not? So I sent a message to Captains Cabin, saying thank you for reaching out and that I will be back sometime. I then replaced my negative review with a positive one, and I even deleted my other review (but I have written a new negative review since . I did not receive any replies to my message. I thought that everything was okay. Then came my third bad experience--serves me right, I suppose. 3. I walked in, and I saw some friends who were happy to see me, and we started chatting. Then a server whom I had never before seen told me to leave. You shouldn 't be here, she said. I left without a fuss. I sent another message, and I got fed some bull about having to wait a few more days, as the owner was away. I asked for the owner 's number again (it had been posted in a reply to my Facebook review, but I did not write it down before deleting it as I would actually call after this incident. They read my message but gave me no reply. Captains Cabin is good for the regulars. They like it, it seems. I guess that I was the new guy and did not have to be treated well. By the way, the wings are small (I do not believe their crap about looking small because they are not breaded , and they put a little bit of cheese on the top of their nachos--not throughout. I will never go back. I am not allowed to, anyway. Instead of getting an apology for being treated horribly, I got barred from the place. I have also noticed that there are similar comments about the servers, food, and patronage in other reviews of Captains Cabin on this site. You should check them all out."
