"We came here based off some reviews about the snorkelling and they were spot on. Stopped here in June 2017 off a cruise ship. We didn't want to do the regular excursions and wanted to do our own thing so we decided to try Money Bar. Upon first glance we kind of thought "well this is not what we expected" but we tried it out anyway and were glad we did! The snorkelling here is amazing, its right on the reef and my son and I saw a ton of cool fish, rays, lobster, crabs, giant sea snails you name it. We spent the majority of our time in the water as it was perfect temperature and shallow enough to stand but deep enough to swim. While we were snorkelling the manager Angel, took my daughter (with my wife permission) onto the dock with a bunch of bread so she could feed the fish. He did this multiple times and she had a blast ( she's only 4). We ordered some drinks and a fruit platter, everything was really well priced. Its definitely a hidden gem. Cab ride from the cruise port was about 11 usd each way and for 2 beers a fruit platter and a frozen mint lemonade it was only 13 usd. it was awesome and great for us because we could stay as long as we wanted to. Some cruise passengers were paying 35 us per person for a 1.5 hr snorkelling excursion to the same spot we were at! This is definitely the spot to go to if you are a family looking to not spend crazy amounts of money and have a really great day swimming and checking out the fish!"

"Pink ice is a great place with good food to good trips, we ordered by eaglerider several dishes, with a lot of wings, nachos and pizza, they forgot our pizza, but until then we were well full as an apology then gave us free desert. it is a well-run restaurant from the normal tourist route in a local community, and has become one of my favorite spots on the island, especially when we are on the go as easy parking."

"I do not typically write restaurant reviews, but I make an exception when I come across a restaurant while traveling that I particularly enjoyed and don't feel is getting the full recognition that it deserves from a ratings or placement perspective.El Palomar was my family's favorite restaurant on our recent trip to Cozumel. We liked it so much that we ate there twice. Our group consisted of four adults and four kids (ages 2 through 8).Highlights (in no particular order):- The restaurant is located in a historical building on the north end of "downtown", across from the water. The patina of the interior and indoor/outdoor feel that the open doors and windows provide gives the place a Havana-type feel.- El Palomar has a legitimate bar... the best selection and cocktail making that I saw on our trip. There is a "walk-up" area where the bar opens to the sidewalk where you can see folks, still in their swimsuits, stopping by for a quick drink before heading back home.- The food was excellent. We enjoyed everything that we ordered on both visits, but the standouts were: - Lobster or (Fish) Catch of the Day with Guajillo Sauce: "sauce" isn't 100% accurate, it is more like a baste used to coat the lobster while cooking. - Beef Tips: small cubes of tender beef in a smoky pasilla pepper sauce w/ a side of tortillas. - Fish Wings: Bone-in sections of Snapper prepared like a Buffalo wing (if you think of how a fish is typically filleted, it is the section of meat nearest the gills/fins that doesn't make it into the fillet).- Oscar and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and took great care of us.Notes:- While the waiter warned that the guajillo / pasilla / chipotle sauces and other salsas were a little spicy, we didn't find any of them to be too spicy for our kids. If you are sensitive to spicy foods, I wouldn't worry.- The mosquitoes were bad across the island during our trip. Due to the open indoor/outdoor nature of the restaurant, I would recommend taking bug spray if you are sensitive to bites or the mosquitoes tend to like you.Note to my Notes - neither points were unique to El Palomar, we had similar experiences elsewhere, but wanted to mention it for folks who have never been to the island."

"Size isn't everything. My friends recommended the ceviche here so I made it a point to try it. For me it was just meh. The restaurant seems pretty touristy, on the main drag with loud music. So I don't see any need to return. Certainly...the quality of the food would not be a draw. And service was lackadaisical at best."
