"Easily one of the best and the most consistent restaurants in the area. Yesterday 's lunch was no exception. Cibo Matto 's bread is diabolically good and takes a hell of a lot of will power to say no to a second basket. Went well with a starter of crisp, risotto y, gooey Arancini. Cubano sandwich was on point and the steak sandwich was delicious*. The house made gnocchi with spinach, mushrooms, chicken stock reduction and parmesan was the standout dish. My daughter killed it off in about 45 seconds. The only glitch and a tiny one was a bit too much saltiness in the Meatball Panini. But with crisp, chewy pressed bread, tender meatballs and a good amount of melted provolone I crushed the first half easily. It was much more substantial than expected (all the sandwiches were) so I boxed the second half. And ate that about 2 minutes after getting home. Joe, by the way, was a great server. *It 's never a great idea for a New England joint to call their steak subs Philly Cheesesteaks unless it 's fully committed to recreating that sandwich. Otherwise, just take pride in making good sandwich."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."
