"My husband and I were traveling back to Sioux Falls, SD from Chicago and decided to stop in La Crosse for a bite to eat. He looked up places to eat and found the absolute treasure that is Howie’s. The environment was very fun and welcoming, with college students, families, and older couples all represented. The restaurant was also very clean and had a variety of seating options, including a bar, high and low tops, and a balcony. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and attentive during our visit. But the real reason for this 5 star review: the food. We decided to split an order of the Hometown Hot Wings and each got a burger. The wings came out first and were honestly the best wings I’ve ever had. They were spicy but in a way that made the flavor even better. They were so fresh and cooked to perfection. The burgers were also incredible. Every bite was a delight. They were unique and fun and yet were exactly what I wanted from a local restaurant. They also served Hamm’s beer, which is a real favorite and automatically made me love Howie’s a little bit more."

"Kramer's is the most under rated restaurant/gathering spot on the south side of La Crosse. The prices are low, the service impeccable, and the food is outstanding!Seriously where can you go and get two sodas and a 16 inch pizza and walk out for less than 25 bucks including the tip? Answer.... Kramers.Burgers, pizza, or breakfast all the food is exceptional and modestly priced.Stop in, give this place a try, you won't regret it."

"I was so looking forward to ordering a BA burrito once my mouth was good enough for semi solid food after wisdom teeth removal. According to all available sources, (their BA Burrito's website, Google. they were supposed to be open today, Online ordering didn't work, calling their restaurant gave me voice mail. The website was no help. In order to even understand what was going on I had to GO TO THEIR LOCATION to get a straight answer as to what was going on, via a sign posted in their darkened windows. They've been closed all weekend. I LOVE your food, but guys, come on. ONE notification on one of the websites, or at the very least a message on the answering machine when you call in would have been nice, could have saved me the trip and the heartache."

"Nice outside but went inside. No Hostess but had a pleasant young man Ethan seat us at best table by window. Steak was great and I especially liked salad. Our Waitress Alexa was a sweetheart. We were there early so wasn’t busy. I’m sure we will go back."

"Fantastic bar and grill. The food was excellent, the bartenders are excellent and I really liked the Ben Glarus Ale, aka Spotted Cow. I saw that some of the staff are also the banquet room staff which was a very pleasant surprise, and they know how to cook both big meals and small. The room is nice with bar seating and lots of tables for groups. There is a large double sided fireplace. This staff, from the manager to each bartender, and I was there for 4 days, so I saw them all is among the best I've ever seen at a place like this. All were pros at what they do. The prices were surprisingly low. You can get a good meal and have a great place to unwind after a long day at a convention. I hope I get to come back here for another few days. Nothing I read in any of the low rated reviews turned out to be true, in fact it's the opposite. The whole place has new management for 2019 and they really know how to treat you well. The selection of local beer was pretty good, as I said Ben Glarus was my favorite, but I tried them all and they are all good. They are also cold from the tap, I like them on the colder side. That extra degree of coldness makes a small difference to me."
