"Tonight, a group of 12 friends went to grill it on the Stafford Road. Where do I start? The service was absolutely disgusting. As it was quite a large booking, I was asked to pre order the mains and pay a £60 deposit, so £5 each. When I got there, the girls said that they had been given menus and were told to order at the bar when they were ready. I went to the bar and asked why they had been given menus when I had pre ordered the food a week before. This was quickly sorted. However, I asked for a drinks menu, only to be told that they didn’t have one as they were part way through having new menus. Our food arrived and the food itself was beautiful and the portions were very generous. This is where my praise ends unfortunately. Nobody came to check on us and to see if we were enjoying the food. It took a good 45 minutes for our plates to be cleared from the table. We weren’t offered a dessert menu. One of the girls went and asked for the dessert menu and we were given one to share between the 12 of us. She was told to ignore the prices stated as they were wrong and we would need to ask for the price. In the end we didn’t bother with dessert as we’d have probably been there until midnight! The £60 deposit that I had paid, I was told they’d need to refund it to me because their till system couldn’t cope with knocking £60 off the final bill. I said this would be stupid as I would need to pay the everyone their £5 back. This was resolved but when we finally came to pay at the end, the girl who came to settle the bill obviously hadn’t been given this information and wanted to refund me the £60 again. We explained this had been dealt with and she should speak to her colleague. She ran off and didn’t come back so we had to sort the bill ourselves, working out what the staff should’ve been working out. You really need to work on your service Grill it because we definitely won’t be returning again. And maybe print some more dessert menus with the proper prices on! Can’t even blame the fact that it was busy because it was dead in there."

"This place is amazing! the eating took me back to the time I had spent india, I found it really authentic to the dressed I had tried while there. I had great hopes and was not disappointed! both my own paprikachaat and the other half dosa were delicious! all the foods our group ordered were also well preserved and the chai can not wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. this place is a real gem, I really can't recommend it enough."

"Love this pub. Large, open still cosy. Well decorated. Comfy seats, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Quiz guy is a legend! It's been getting more and more popular recently though, I can never park anymore!"

"We popped in today and tbf I thought it’s just going to be the same let down sort of chippy. OMG was I wrong. Turns out to be the best chippy I’ve had in a long time. How a chippy should be is all I’m gonna say. Very friendly staff and accommodating. Food was bang on. Are the chips out the bag with a hole in(old school style)Wow brought back memories lol. Definitely going back soon. Food: 5"

"Quality of this place has gone down over the years, my mother and I have been visiting since 2018 and came this evening and it was horrendous. The staff were inattentive, the food took far too long to arrive (it wasn’t particularly busy), food was cold on arrival. I don’t know what it is but the quality of the food has also declined recently, bread was cold and hard and did not taste as it usually does, there was a distinct lack of filling in the shawarma and gyros and it felt very cheap. We did not enjoy it at all."

"First time here, Lovely evening to celebrate a 60th birthday. All staff are friendly, especially server Ella had a huge smile on her face. Lovely and chatty too and very polite when bringing food. Judy the bartender went above and beyond to bring the cake out for us. Drinks were spot on, had a cheeky few myself would say definitely good value for money. Only slight hiccup is that bathroom seem a tad unclean or not check as regularly. But other than that still 5 Thanks so much for a wondering afternoon. Definitely recommend and will be returning."
