"This a nice place to eat at a great price. Fast service with no nonsense waiters ready to help with basic needs. The food was good. We ordered a 54 piece sushi platter that was just what we were expecting for three."

"It kinda reminded me of japanese izakaya with private booth and private rooms for large groups. The food was good, presentation was nice and the amount of food was a great for sharing(with family)"

"Isami Sushi is a hidden gem in Burnaby. With an address on Kingsway, you wouldn’t be faulted for not noticing it… especially since the storefront is actually located on McKay Street. Apparently, it’s not as hidden as I thought because it was fairly busy during my first weekday lunch. Fortunately, the interior is rather large so I didn’t have trouble getting a seat (I actually sat at the sushi bar so I could see them prepping the sushi)."

"This is a place where I would definitely go if you are in the area. The chef/owner will know what you usually order and he is very friendly and down to earth. Do not expect him to flatter you will some 'BS ' talk.<br/ <br/ The lunch box here is awesome. Beef teriyaki option is a must. Try it and you will come back.<br/ <br/ Hidden gem in the area! See for yourself."

"We’re big fans of Take Sushi, located on Hastings Street in North Burnaby. I don’t think we’ve ever had anything bad here before.<br/ <br/ One of their more popular dishes is the Tuna and Mango Salad mixed with avocado and cucumber. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the sauce really brings out the flavours of the fresh tuna and mango chunks. I actually prefer how they used to serve this on a glass plate instead of a white oval bowl.<br/ <br/ We ordered some nigiri to go with our meal: Tamago, Unagi, Toro, and Chopped Scallop… again, all well-prepared.<br/ <br/ The Spicy Agedashi Tofu are rather large with a crisp outer layer protecting the tofu on the inside. All of it is covered with their dreamy hot sauce which is more tangy than it is pungently hot.<br/ <br/ We were already pretty full before the Nabenyaki Udon arrived but we just had to finish off the silky smooth udon noodles.<br/ <br/ And, of course, one of my favourites is the Grilled Salmon Belly. I know it might seem excessively fatty and oily but I figure I spend enough on fish oil pills that I might as well enjoy the salmon belly."

"Sushi was pretty good, with decent prices. There are many special rolls to choose from, but many of them are just a California roll with something on top. The service was excellent though, even though the restaurant was full we did not have to wait long. The sushi tasted fresh and the aburi was amazing! Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"I ordered from Sushi Yoi on doordash twice and finally went in person the other day. It was great booth seating, we came in at around 5pm and it wasn't busy which was nice. It filled up around 6:15pm ish. We ordered the $15.95 Any 3 Items on a menu. The Mackerel Nigiri (the white nigiri) was obviously frozen and wasn't thawed out properly so that sucked. Other than that we ordered the B.C Blazer and Firecracker Roll and they were both great. The Salmon Oshi was great, usually it's overpriced but it was decently priced here. The staff were attentive, kinda awkward, but they were really nice and friendly. They constantly were checking if we wanted more water or tea. I would return again!"

"Slightly on the pricier end but decent taiwanese food. Wish there was more variety with the bubble tea. There is not always parking available."

"Great food. Been there many times. But last time I was there I ordered wagyu nigiri, which came out to be $24 for 2 pieces. I’ve never had thin aburi wagyu slices this expensive, not even when I was in Kobe. The taste wasn’t even exceptional to justify the price. I was a bit shocked, to be honest. But other than that, food was on-point like usual. Price per person: CA$90–100"
