"I have driven by this place many times when buying fresh seafood nearby. This time, after hearing how good they were, my wife and I stopped. DO NOT JUDGE THIS PLACE BY OUTSIDE APPEARANCE. The food is delicious. It was the best food we ate on this trip to the area and we went to several restaurants. The restaurant is quant and appealing on the inside. Try the fried green tomatoes. If it's busy, be prepared to wait outside sitting in old metal chairs. It's worth the wait."

"We got there about 6:45 on Friday evening. Busy but not too crowded. We both ordered the basket with the fish of the day which was grouper. The basket is normally fried but my wife asked for hers grilled. The fish is supposed to come with fries, slaw, and hush puppies. Neither of our meals came out with slaw. When we asked our waiter, he went to get it. He came back with one cup of potato salad but no slaw. He said they were out of slaw. The grilled fish was so salty that my wife quit eating it half way through. My fried fish was good but had very heavy breading. They should not be running out of items early on Friday night when they have the whole weekend ahead. And they should have told us when we ordered. Finally my wife got a slice of cheesecake for dessert. That was $10 for a single slice. I know desserts are always expensive but that's ridiculous. Everywhere is expensive but $70 for that meal was certainly not worth a return visit."

"One of my wife and I's favorite places for date night....or any night really. My first visit was when I was around 12 yrs old with my parents...how could you not love a place that gives lime sherbert with every meal! They have stayed consistent all of these years.... I love the fact that I can order the exact temperature I want and they hit it every time. Also, for a steakhouse, they have some great seafood. My only disappointment…. Please bring back the seafood gumbo. It was the best in town!"

"Loved It!. I haven't been since the remodel, and have been avoiding seeing a childhood favorite change. A lot of the old posters were still around, and the experience was still filled with nostalgia. The upside was that the burger was better than I remembered in my adult life, so now Jerry's is back on my list of favorite mom pop burger stops."
