"This is a very attractive pub with cask beer and a good selection on the lunch menu. We had a generous ploughman's for £17 and a seafood platter also £17. The cask bitter was, unusually, chilled and I prefer it at cellar temperature but was offered a very good bottled alternative. It's in a lovely location with impressive views from the garden though we ate inside as it was a bit chilly."

"I live between Whitby and Redcar so have plenty of good Fish and Chip shops nearby. It’s no exaggeration to say Trawlers matches them all and I’m tempted to say is better than my favourites back home. The fish was well cooked, great batter, chips just crispy perfect. Great value for money too. Proper old school chippy!"

"Very glad that we stumbled on this beautiful little pub after a trip to the arundel castle. we were greeted by two beautiful Scottish ladies who they feel right at home, which was eating excellent, tidy homemade shrub. the steak in the cake was melted in the mouth and the pate was beautiful. Beautiful dame behind the bar baked a cake to the bottom of a homemade trifle, I was very impressed by this, only shame we were to try full a puddle!"
