"Portuguese Chicken/Chorizo Sandwich, Crispy Fries, mixed salad . As you can say, I love Portuguese Chicken haha. If it's done well, it's the best way I would say I like to eat these amazing products. Personally, some cooking on the open fire, rotating at the top, as back in medival times really delights me. It cooks beautiful and slow and allows the aromas to really develop. . At Cantine Emilia they have some amazingly prepared meats and choices to choose for you. It chorizo is amazing, the marinated pork chop is stealer and even the chicken on its own is juicy, tasteful and beautiful chard. But obviously the star movement will put all this in a sandwich and eat everything at once?. The combination of meats is so good together. You get the best of both world from pork and chicken that are used so far in Portuguese cuisine. The homemade Mayo and red sauce is amazing to accompany the sandwich so that there is the kick it needs. Served with crispy pommes and salad, what can a guy ask for more?? Look at them, get delicious marinated meat and make a good meal. See also there custom made Pastis de nata, there traditional, but with a funny twist!"

"Absolutely delicious. We had the grilled salmon.
The fish was fresh and not too cooked. The little extras (lemon and dill sauce) on the side, so we could choose how much of it we wanted are details that in our records count.
It made a "cold winter-trapped-at-the-office" lunch into a healthy homemade style meal. Really enjoyable."
The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and have something in nice weather.

"The worse service I ever had my whole life (and I visited several countries). The food is good, that for sure. But the waiter was very disagradable,abrupt and impatient. No eye contact, no smile,interrupting me abruptly and throwing everything on the table.Moreover the dish I was served was not exactly what I ordered, I ate it without saying anything though. And he didn't gave any explanation for that.I completely refused to leave tip at the end because of the rudeness of his behavior during the whole meal. He complained to his colleague and boss who both were angry and came and talk to us about that matter.When the owner heard that it was because of an awful service, he then calmed down, explaining that there were realy busy. But no words to this waiter. The latter being ruder and louder !This is completely outrageous.I am not picky with service but there are limits. This person that served us showed so much reluctance during our whole time there."

"I come here about once a year. This year seemed better than on some previous visits (not that those were bad...); one member of our group commented that the ."Züri Gschnätzlets" (veal with mushroom sauce) was much better than he previously had here. But their main items are the fondues -- cheese, beef, or chinese. I had their Matterhorn menu for 2 (cheese & filet mignon beef combo). Portion was adequate and the presentation was good. The atmosphere is very cozy and great for cold winter evenings, but the total space is fairly large, so you do not feel cramped or claustrophobic.The wait staff is very professional and accommodating. Our group of 10 was treated to a complimentary digestif, which was a nice touch.This restaurant has been around for several decades, so it must be doing many things right!"

"Absolutely fantastic! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We both had the duck breast which was beautifully plated with an assortment of perfectly cooked vegetables. It had a nice sauce which was light and sweet without being too much. We decided to splurge for dessert and order a grand matinee soufflé which was amazingly light and delicious. The restaurant filled up while we were there but the noise level was still low. We read that this was rated one of the best restaurants in Montreal and this meal confirmed that accolade."
