"A beautiful place. very relaxing, friendly staff. we had a little problem with a part of our breakfast we had to throw up. it turned out that they had run out of this ingredient. we received a discount and they were very apologetic, but it had had an effect on the overall experience therefore had to pull a star out. otherwise it was excellent"

"I used to love this place, but they seem to have gone very downhill recently. When you are paying £35 for a fish you expect it not to be over cooked. When I sent it back the chef refused to cook it again for me as they (had “already batched cooked the fish” no wonder it was over cooked) they then said we can cook some cod fresh for you. Which came out stone cold in the middle and completely raw. I would say , the staff there are very lovely, clearly it is just the chef that has an attitude problem. I’m not a fusspot, but I could cook a fish better at home with my eyes closed. The chef has clearly lost his passion, which is very sad. The second time we have had to send food back now. This place used to be great, but unfortunately it has let standards slip considerably. My recommendation is go to a Michelin star Restruant , the price is similar , but at least the chef will take pride in this food they serve. A real disappointment.
