"We live about 20 miles from bacharach, so it is not a place where we would normally take our dinner. we have been very regular for 46 years as a travel guide for friends, family and business partners in bacharach and regularly stop in the old-collar court as the place to drink coffee and enjoy the ambiente. as always are kindly hostesses, which we know and can only warmly recommend. we recently had the opportunity to eat in their restaurant. their evening dinners are of high quality, lovingly presented and they have many local specialties worth trying. the photos already present on tripadvisor can give them a good impression of what they will receive. they will certainly receive my recommendation."

"Das Weingut Ottes war über Jahrzehnte hinweg eine der Adressen wo man super Riesling in herrlicher Atmosphäre verkosten konnte. Die Lage in der Nähe des Bahnhofs machte das Weingut Ottes zu einem gerne besuchten Ausflugsziel mit toller Aussicht auf den Rhein inmitten der Weinberge. Eigentlich würde alles passen, aber da die Besitzer gewechselt haben und damit auch der Sachverstand, wird aus einem renomierten Weingut mit Spitzenwein ein kümmerlicher Abklatsch. Man mag darüber streiten ob die Spanischen Spezialitäten zum Wein passen oder ob die vorher angebotene japanische Küche besser war. Fakt bleibt jedoch, dass es unter der Familie Ottes weitaus runder lief und man sich als Gast sehr wohl gefühlt hat. Dieses Gefühl vermisst man heute, es entsteht eher der Eindruck das sich die Dinge zu einem Hobby Weingut entwickelten. Ein Winzer der sein Handwerk versteht scheint der neue Besitzer nicht zu sein, eher ein Investor der ein neues Steckenpferd suchte und fand. Tradition bleibt dabei leider auf der Strecke, es bleibt abzuwarten wie die neuen Weine werden."

The family room with the rotating TV in the middle was also a reasonable size, clean and comfortably furnished The staff was very friendly and accommodating The buffet in the morning offers a rich selection of cold cuts, fruit, rolls and many other products The location of the hotel was very central in the small old town. Would choose this hotel again and again : Rooms: The room has a rotating TV. Air conditioning, a small refrigerator, large curtains on the windows (which keep it dark , a large wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, a large double bed and a sofa bed Another door in the room leads into the bathroom, where there is a shower cubicle next to the toilet and sink, and next to the sink there is a small extendable mirror with light Nearby activities: You can visit the castle and the viewing platform, which is not far from the hotel. On the Rhine you can book a long tour from 11 a.m. (you get on in Bacharach, there you can buy a ticket at the little house and go to Rüdesheim and then to St. Goar and back .
