"Okay, this chicken is greasy, but tastes so good, prefer the spicy. The cold slaw is great, hate their fries, but haven't eaten a coated fry that I like. Their biscuits rival Red Lobster's. Certainly not health food but, a lot of the salt could be taken out as another reviewer mentioned. Like their chicken better than either KFC or Mary Brown's. My wife who prefers Mary Brown's over KFC also likes Popeye's Chicken. I do have to say they could use a staff member on the customer side of the counter to clean a little more frequently. On our visit it was noticeably lacking."
The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and have something in beautiful weather, And into the accessible rooms also come guests with wheelchairs or physical disabilities.

"Growing up with Guyanese parents and as someone who loves to cook, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Caribbean food. The owner/chef Mark knows his stuff and gave us amazing food that was spot on. The goat was flavourful, prawns perfectly cooked and the fried chicken devoured. The portion sizes were true to Caribbean hospitality and brimming with the main ingredient. It’s clear Mark loves his craft even his reimagined side coleslaw was an unexpected delight! I only wished we were closer (visiting from GTA), as we’d be regulars for sure. Thanks again Mark!! Also, a shout out to Monica who was our AWESOME server. If you’re lucky enough to be driving distance, you gotta check these guys out."

"We live in the Forest Heights area of Kitchener and often stop at the Fish Hut for take out fish and chips. The service is always friendly and efficient and the food is tasty. We were having adults and children for dinner on...Good Friday and decided to pre-order fish and chips to make the meal planning easy. Since Good Friday is their busiest day of the year, they have a few special policies for Good Friday: no eat in service...only take out serving only cod, haddock and halibut (no whitefish or shrimp) gravy and cole slaw are available but not onion rings you can pre-order ...we did and our order of family packs of fish and chips large gravy was ready exactly at as noted on our receipt"
