"Amazing! We went here and had amazing food. Cute atmosphere, wonderful staff, and most importantly scrumptious food! Had the hanger steak and was blown away at how tender and wonderfully it was cooked. If I'm ever back in red hook I will be trying to stop here again!"

"They now have a vegan impossible burger and a pasta with sweet. I eat some fish, so I have ordered the pest garnelen pizza without cheese and it is great. I can tell them the owners are up hands and appreciate their customers. five stars are only allowed for all vegan restaurants."

"In the early 1990s as a young boy free from the confessions of the middle school, we would simply put into the city for a slice of “Ben’s Pizza” race, this place is iconic. Many leave Red Hook and when they come back, also for a short visit and stop in village Pizza is a must. Today I'm not a pizza eater, but every Friday with my kids we always get a pizza from Village. Prices cheap food: 30 plus years old does not speak for itself. Joe and Ben from Village Pizza are icons. If you are one of our many visits Downstate “Friends” this may not be a posh Brooklyn food, this place is legend."

The vegan tacos and burritos are not on the menu board but have been standard items there for many years. Many options are filled with fresh veggie ingredients. A casual place in which the burritos come in foil packages. Healthy and flavorful brown rice is available as an option. For those avoiding rice for health reasons, substitutions are possible. Signs and discussion with the restaurant 's helpful workers aid the vegan or vegetarian newcomer. A lively vibe and colorful, bright decor. Order at the counter. Sadly, over the years, however, I have had repeated problems with this restaurant 's inaccuracy in filling orders. At times, I have ordered a vegan item and received a nonvegan item or in other ways gotten the wrong burrito. The policy of the restaurant in this situation is simply to replace the incorrect item. "Small, quirky, cozy little place. Large sandwiches such as curry chicken on roasted sourdough, caprese melt on Ciabatta, butter beer, tea, coffee drinks in large cups. Friendly service. Disappointed that they were from homemade soup. I also listen to the monthly meeting place for the Bigfoot Society, tea leaf True Slayer and life drawing events!"

"Really delicious, (like home cooked! Thanksgiving side dishes. This is my 3rd or 4th year in a row I have ordered the Thanksgiving sides from J&J. The stuffing is great, the root vegetables, string beans and amazing brussel sprouts are fabulous. My family adores the mashed potatoes (and gravy and I love the sweet potatoes. Everything is always ready, carefully packed, very fairly priced and made with care. Julliane answers all your questions and gives her expert culinary advice."
