"Very informal and friendly. Young enthusiastic staff with a start up vibe. Tasteful music from previous decades. Quick service despite being busy amazingly so considering dire autumn weather and quiet seafront. We had a seafood selection, not cheap but very fresh, mostly local and skillfully prepared."

"My friend, who lives here locally I popped in here one wet dreary Sunday afternoon recently. It was dreary outside and not that much better inside. The guy behind the bar seemed rather bored but was civil enough and took our orders of a couple of beers. Another guy working there (the owner or manager? who my friend apparently knew came past us but made no real attempt to engage in any friendly banter. His lugging stuff around the pub seemed to be his priority. There were some vestiges of some sad looking Christmas decorations on one wobbly table. The guy behind the bar sighed that they had been put up at the insistence of the brewery. Anyway, we supped on our beers, and watched one of the TV screens showing World Cup rugby. We waited until half time and then tried to get back to my friends home to watch the second half in more happier surroundings."

"Now. you made our christmas even better! we have never eaten for christmas and what can I say? nice eating (although massive portions,) large service (nearly as royalty fees) and such a beautiful atmosphere (produced so by the workers and others equally.) we had such a big Christmas day because of their hard work. we have managed to say goodbye to the lady, but not to the man (with the two young ones.) many thanks to everyone and happy christmas"

"Just had takeaway lunch at The Sunflower Cafe. Covid safety implemented and delicious food. The vegetarian burger is one of the best we have had because you can taste and see the butternut squash and veg... So good. Good chips too!! Oh at the chutney on the burger was so good too. I really reccomend for lunch or breakfast"
