"During a schoolcamp with a Swiss primary school we stayed at le soliat for one night and had dinner and breakfast there. I will beginn with the positive. The food was not bad and the location is certainly great. The location is probably also the...reason why this place is still in business. The stay there is extremely expensive and we were only willing to spend the money because it was supposed to be the highlight of the camp. From the beginning when we arrived the staff was terrible. Our group was not welcome there at all. The employees expected that all the 22 kids (arround 12 years old) in our group should be quiet during the whole stay. The noise they created was average of a group this size and certainly not over the top. Even the only other guest we saw at le soliat during the night told us it wasnt bad and that it didn't bother her at all. After beeing at le soliat for about 3 hours we were repeatedly threatened very agressively that we would be thrown out if the kids were not quiet. This was also noticed by the kids and they started to feel scared. What should have been a fun last night and a highlight of their school camp became a nightmare for many of the kids. I would never ever go there again and I will also tell everybody that goes to the creux du van that they should avoid supporting a business like this."

"Wir waren zum Geschäftsessen im Restaurant. Es wurde schnell serviert. Wir haben die Tagessuppe gegessen und als Hauptgang den Fisch (Äsche) von der Karte. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und der Service war sehr nett."

"We were suprised when we got there. From ouside it seemed like nothing special but the staff makes it special. Very welcome and friendly. At night it can be noisy because of some small animals running on the roof."
