We had melon soup to begin and both had steaks that were beautiful. I have a gluten intolerance and in line with many restaurants in this area, the only alternative is avoidance, so some of the dishes were outside limits. Hopefully more optiions will be available in time, but this is by no means specific to this restaurant. The ambience of the outdoor seats was wonderful, with a view of the main square in Staufen on a warm July evening was a pleasure. The service was friendly and efficient, the wine list extensive and the seats outside was very full of what tells the story of popularity. Our 2-course menu with a bottle of local wine and some foam water was €85, but it is worth what the point is."
