"Unfortunately not gluten-free....food was delicious, but my celiac daughter was then violently ill. not a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, they have wraps with weizen and spinat pasta with weizen, but have many signs that gluten-free everywhere say what causes confusion. owner was very sweet, but zöliakie should not dinate here."

"I could have stayed here forever. Location right on the beach. The pool area is big they have their own beach area, abut rocky so right next dòor is a public beach very clear water,. The beds were comfy I loved the bathroom setup, with the separate shower and tub. Especially the clothes hanger line above the tub. This makes a world of difference with wet beach/pool wear. Very nice workout room. They also have a swing set club house for kids"

"We had the absolute best vacation at the Sandals Barbados (2022). I’ll start by saying we did opt for the butler service and I am SO glad that we did. I haven’t stayed at a Sandals without it so I can’t compare but I know other guests complained (for a number of reasons) without the butler service. Resort reasons aside, having the butter service made eating gluten free so easy!! You have the same three butlers all week and they coordinate every meal, they brought breakfast to our room, brought lunch to our beach chairs and walked us to dinner to personally talk to the kitchen ensuring no cross contact with gluten. If room service was ordered, they made sure our room was flagged as gluten free. It's hard to choose a favorite restaurant because we loved dining at all of them! Chi (asian fusion) was absolutely incredible (the chef came out to tell me he’d use separate pans for anything I ordered, we enjoyed the food at the Greenhouse, it was amazing to get fresh juice/smoothies at Heart and Sol honestly, every restaurant we dined at was incredible and with so many options. Our butler spoke with the kitchen at every meal and made ordering seamless (many times gf bread was ready for our table before I arrived) and there was always a gf dessert option. I think our trip was much smoother with the butler service BUT the resort handled gluten free so well that I’m positive you would have a good trip without it!! Tips for Gluten Free travelers The donut shop has two selections of gluten free items separate from the other donuts but they'll also make you a selection of the regular donuts (you just have to request to pre order for the next day) this is an absolute must if you are gluten free because they are sooooo good! The cafe has gluten free muffins in the back if you ask for them You will want to be clear about cross contact when it comes to fried foods (ask for hash browns/fries to be cooked separately or avoid fried foods) There is a gluten free pizza at the pizzeria they did take all of the precautions to make sure it's safe Every time we dined (without the butler) or ordered room service, the staff started with 'any allergies' and so you'll have the chance to let them know right away that you need your items gluten free. The menus aren't well labelled for gluten free but I think that's because almost anything on the menu can have a gluten free option, you just have to ask"

"Stayed here as a daypass customer due to getting off the cruise early morning then having an evening flight. 60USD for the room for 8 hours, it was absolutely perfect and so worth the money. Location is good, beach across the road and cheap supermarket just a 3 min walk away. Fantastic food court at the rear of the complex where there are so many authentic food stalls with good prices. The room was immaculate, the pool was lovely. It was quiet around the complex. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Couldn't fault the place. Little gem"

"When we first saw the Radisson Aquatica, we were a little concerned because the hotel is tired and needs a fresh coat of paint. However, those things disappeared during our stay because of the wonderful location and the extraordinary staff. The people at the Radisson treated us like royalty. They went above and beyond the call to address any concerns we had. We even met a couple who had left one of the primary resorts on the island to stay at the Radisson because of the “vibes” there. Also, the location and the beach were perfect for everything we wanted to do. The beach was immaculate, and every morning, starting at 6:00, trainers from the local racetrack brought their horses to swim in the ocean. It was beautiful. The Radisson is a one-mile walk (across the sand or town) from The Boatyard, one of our favorite places in Barbados. Honestly, if Barbados is ever a destination of ours again, we will stay at The Radisson Aquatica. It’s not one of the mega resorts, and the hotel needs updated, but the other very positive traits more than made up for it."

"Fort Maxwell is an unpretentious and relaxing establishment that has a rugged charm. It features both indoor and outdoor seating options and delicious pizzas! While there, my husband and I had cocktails which were fairly well mixed and presented in mug-like...jar-like containers. An improvement in the temperature of each cocktail (and the water we later requested) would have made them much more enjoyable. Although outdoor seating is available, and is much more comfortable given the overpowering scent of incense indoors (a sure trigger for anyone with allergies or asthma), there is not much coverage should the rain fall. The aforementioned two semi-negatives, and the absence of a bank machine, are the reasons why I have taken away a star. Payment can only be made in cash or via PayPal. This was an inconvenience since we had to find an ATM in St. Lawrence Gap from which to secure cash AFTER we had eaten and were ready to settle our tab and leave. Overall, the friendliness of our host and the quality of the pizzas ordered made the visit worth-while. I would definitely visit there again and recommend that others give them a try whether they are single, a couple, a family with children or a group of friends."
