"First time trying northern Italian cuisine during my Hunter Valley trip. Love every bit of it! The food was simple; but ingredients, which are fresh and grown locally, really make it taste superb. The theme of II Cacciatore seems to be semi-formal/ fine dining so it's not suitable if you come in a group or with kids. The food would take ages to be served and the kid's menu won't be available after 6:30pm. <br/ <br/ If you arrive with your date, it would be perfect to talk through the wait and drink wine."

"We couldn’t fault this restaurant. I phoned yesterday to book a table and Sarah was so lovely and efficient. We wandered in at the allotted time and Tracy showed us to our table adjacent the window with a lovely outlook. We made our selections from the 2, or 3 course menu and thoroughly enjoyed the next 90 minutes as Tracy and Michael looked after us beautifully. There certainly were a number of other people in the restaurant, some of whom were a little expectant but the wait staff managed all the personalities beautifully. We left totally satisfied and content. The food was absolutely divine and is a credit to Michael, the head chef. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone wanting a relaxed evening. Very well done elements. We’ll be back."

"A super long slow Sunday dinner the prospects are excellent, as they drive up to the pooles rock weinberg ready for the great experience. we were warmly welcomed to surround our outside table opposite the water hole by gentle hills weinbergen. peacefully, calmly just breathe, it was a look that transports them in somewhere like the toskana (in my head! . lunch is easy at $110/head for 3 courses. the menu has a beautiful variety that we spent time mulling over the interesting options while on a beautiful bubbly. Overall, the food that arrived was excellent. delicious, fresh, the chef knows his cooking technique well, so that eating out and improving it with the right aromas, flavor combinations. everything was just so well assembled. the portions, although not oversized, were right for a long lunch we left without blooming feelings! service is professionally helpful. the personal seemed really to want that they simply lean back, relax the experience. the magnificent view served as a perfect scene. highly recommended, but reservations are necessary (there is a waiting list!"
