"It is not easy to enjoy a meal in the mangusta on the outskirts of kirchzarten: on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays the restaurant is closed, on the other days mostly booked. who nevertheless gets a place, knows in the rule that one has specialized in particularly noble steaks and extraordinary pizza creations and that one must grab a very deep pocket here. but quality, ambiente and service speak unrestricted for such a visit.I first tried the homemade lemon limo with thymian: very sour and correspondingly thirsty. There were freshly crispy broth, which is best enjoyed with olive oil and salt. the fish soup to Bouillabaisse style with roast bread and aioli was very tasty with fine fish and seafood. the 300-gram-Rib Eye-Steak from black angus white bark from arkansas costs without supplements 49 euro, but is of outstanding quality: very characteristic taste, professionally prepared and seasoned (outside cream, in juicy and buttery) -- a high-quality. I chose butterknöpfle and a cognac puff cream sauce under the freely selectable supplements with 2 to 3 euro in addition to be beech. the service was extremely friendly, personally and ambitiously caressed so that you could feel comfortable here from the first minute. to the next time."
Mangusta from Kirchzarten is a suitable bar to have a beer after work, and hang out with friends, Also, you shouldn't miss out on the delicious pizza, traditional freshly baked in a wood oven. In conclusion, this restaurant also has a comprehensive variety of different already prepared culinary delights to offer, and you can look forward to the tasty typical seafood cuisine.

"We stayed here for 8 nights after visiting Bavaria (see my other review Camping Hopfensee). Firstly I would like to stay how accommodating they were. Due to family issues we changed our booking dates before we arrived and again once in Germany, there was no problem at all. No deposits were required and we only paid for the nights we stayed. The site itself is large however many of the pitches are booked out for long stay rentals. they basically have their caravan on the pitches with semi permanent awnings. So although I thought the campsite would be over busy in August it really wasnt at all. Also the second week it really cleared out which seems to be normal in France/Germany. Our pitch was 268 off one of the main roads in backing on to the muncipal swimming area. I thought it was going to be noisy with traffic but it wasnt at all. I think most people take advantage of the free trains and buses which you get for free, although it comes out of the tourist tax you pay. We took the train with the dog into Frieberg which was a delight, wouldnt recommend getting tipsy at lunch time as we did, but we didnt have children with us and were not driving so hey we were on holiday. Frieberg is lovely, about 15 minutes on the train. We bought a map from Tourist Information for 1 euro and followed the guide route around which was lovely and we got to see some of the old buildings, and obviously found a lovely restaurant for lunch. We found eating out in Germany excellent value, and normally managed two main meals and a large pitchet of wine for just over £20. As it was just the two of us this year and the dog we ate out alot. There are some lovely little restaurants in Kirchzarten itself, which is a five minute walk from the campsite. The little town has shops, restaurants, banks and many bakeries, which are amazing. I thought the Patisseries in France were good but the range of pasteries and cakes in Germany is truly amazing. They had a new shower block which we used which was state of the art really, clean, contained everything you needed. We never queued for a shower and again they have private bathrooms if you want to hire them. You are metered for your electric which cost us around £3 a day which seems fair to me, also you only pay for what you use and it you not to waste it, so we switched things off when not using them. The campsite Restaurant didnt look anything special but it was very good, we ate their three times, I think my husband tried every combination of shnitzell he could. The portions were huge and tasty and at 6 euro for half a litre of wine it seemed rude not to indulge. Plenty to see and do in the area, we took a cable car ride up the mountain and also visited Lake Titsee which was very pleasant, although it is very touristy and we visited on a cloudy day which was a bit quieter. They do have campsites around Titsee but I am glad we stayed where we did as it was lovely to be able to walk in and out of town. There is a small river that runs outside the campsite in both directions which was great for the dog as we were able to cool her down in the river. There is a municpal swimming complex next door to the campsite which is free for guests which is enormous and very popular with everyone but there is plenty of grassed area to settle yourself down for the day with a picnic etc. Although we just use to have a swim and then walk back to the campsite. Would I go again, yes definitely. Beautiful area, we love the black forest. Took around 7.5 hours with a stop to drive up to Arras where we stayed overnight as we wanted to avoid Calais due to all the problems going on there, and then around 1.5 hours drive from Arras to Calais (see my review Camping Paille Haute) which is great for an overnight stop."

"With Patrick Franke, the Landgasthof Rössle in Kirchzarten (approximately 10 km east of Freiburg, an extremely ambitious, at the same time modest and very natural patron is located in the romantic tribal valley. The house places special emphasis on regional, seasonal and Mediterranean cuisine. Unfortunately, I have not been able to stay in the connected hotel yet, but I would like to pick up on the next occasion, because I am very excited about the very well maintained, modern rooms. As part of an invitation, I could enjoy a wonderful three-course menu full of strengths from Patrick Franke and his team. In recent months, I have not been able to gout such a harmonious variety of aromas, consistencys, colors, textures and aggregate states on a plate, within a plate. Each food is such a skillful composition and is a true pleasure both tastefully and visually. As an appetizer I had Bachsaibling with my own rye, including thin slices of gurke and ginger, accompanied by a fresh cucumber ice cream and a blunt ginger mousse. The fish was buttery and extremely fresh. For the first minutes, but the cucumber ice cream seemed too much to kill the flavor nerves (I admit: ice is not one of my favorites... later, when something was melted, it was quite wonderfully connected to the other consistencies of this appetizer. The biggest surprise for me, however, was the ginger, which I usually find too dominant and whose taste I often do not get so clear. Now his sharpness put a wonderful contrast on the freshness of the cucumber and the physicality of parrots. As topping, some krusty peanut pieces were top – just brilliant! So I could also dispense with the white bread served with olive pieces. I drank a fine Sauvignon Blanc from Baden-Württemberg, who once again emphasised regionality. The main course with two lamb pieces, which were still too red in me, was accompanied by a potato tree cake and exotic looking charred and very long cooked jus. The stem cabbage apparently grows similar to green cabbage and tastes very strong-aromatic, therefore is a wonderful, rustic companion to the lamb. A kind of onion jam that had almost the appearance of cwetschgengsälz ensured a slightly sweet component. The biggest surprise, however, was the potato pancake: elegant, finely marbled, amazingly light. Some slices of earthy black root. Perfect. I drank a strong Barbera d ́Alba from Ruvei from 2014. Although I usually waste Dessert, I tried this time. The focus was on apples in various forms of administration and expressions: as sorbet, as scattered cakes, as parfait, as jelly, as a small “snail noodle”. Also here: different colors and aggregate states and textures. And long ago not everything sweet, but also herbs and crispy, sera and bite. Almost like a trip through the year and the different harvest times. A little coarsely ground cinnamon complete the various flavors and could be ribbed as a spice. To this wonderfully rounded dessert I have a large Piedmontese Moscato with a very penetrating quince aroma. All three corridors seemed to me both in a fundamental and refined way, as well as grandios. Here you get a high consideration for the individual ingredients of a meal. On very large, expansive, bead-shaped plates, of which I found in particular the curved shape, which was used very harmoniously for the appetizers (is certainly also suitable for soups. The service was also open and turned to the guest as highly professional and fully concentrated. Questions about individual ingredients or preparations could be answered immediately safely and naturally. The team seemed perfect. Here the communication works in a pattern."
If you feel like a dessert, you should visit Zum Rössle because they have tasty desserts that will surely satisfy the sweet-tooth in you, there are also tasty vegetarian menus in the menu. The restaurant is famous for its robust German dishes, with the selection of dumplings and salads being presented, Additionally, easy digestible Mediterranean meals are available.
