"By far the freshest/best cold cuts in the area we go nowhere else. The salads and products are always so fresh. They are beyond the reception with catering orders and the chef has a creativity level that is still to be adapted. The small town feels that Tom the Green Grocer is also what keeps me coming back week after week."

"Food is standard diner food; they have a large menu, lots to choose from. I will say the wait staff is very friendly, I actually felt welcome, smile and all. I didn't get asked for a refill and no check in while I was eating so that's disappointing. The quality of the food was average, as you would expect from a large menu and the general decline in all restaurant food unfortunately. Order took a bit to get delivered to the table but the portions were large and they were able to accommodate substitutions with no questions asked. Would I go back, probably, after I try other places in the area. The key is really finding a place with decent food, check, decent prices, check, and a place you actually feel welcome, check. So, four stars!"

"My grandfather and I stopped here for a bite to eat before his brothers funeral at Rossi Funeral home, right down the street. Alfonso's pizza was delicious. It's an art to make great pizza, finding the proper combination of water, dough, cheese, and sauce is a bit more involved than your average lay man thinks. They have definitely hit the mark with their recipe. I highly recommend this pizza place if you happen to be in Scotch Plains, NJ."
