"My husband and I had dinner at Shakey Tables on Friday night and we are both extremely disappointed that we've only just been there and the restaurant is closing in December. The food was absolutely amazing. I'm always impressed when the food comes out hot as we've had many luke warm meals, but at Shakey tables everything was perfect. The sticky soy pork belly with crispy octopus & watermelon salsa was one of the best entrees I have ever had, the octopus was perfect. The presentation of every plate was outstanding! I was honestly blown away by how superb everything was.Ruby was lovely and attentive and we will definitely be back a few times before they close in December. Thank you for a perfect night"

"We discovered this wonderful little piece of heaven last year on a drive through the Hunter and decided to go back again this year. So glad we did as the food was spectacular. It is served as tapas. We had the chili garlic prawns, lamb skewers, over baked mushrooms and fetta and the most unbelievable chips. Creamy inside crunchy out. We enjoyed lunch with a glass of wine over looking the magnificent and quiet farm land and was kept company by the local duck. Definitely worth the visit. Service was attentive and friendly."

"Had late lunch at Emerson’s. Food was a mixed fusion packed with flavour. The beef was cooked to perfection and juicy. The sambal chicken is mouthwatering. Pipis is fresh and the mussels divine. Chef came out to greet us as we were the last to leave. Lovely place, definitely recommended. Looking forward to our next meal there."

"The best in the hunter. our El-Fresko lunch could not have been better! nothing was a problem. the cook even made us the deep pan served Bavarian bark dish, which was only on the dinner menu, but caught our eye. the services were substantial, the prices good, the service excellent. we had local weeping out marginally, when we commented how much we enjoyed them friedy our maître-de new best friend arranged a private tasting for us just on the road. we will be dinner again in the cooler months for the goulash .."

"Had breakfast here and the pancakes were really good, nice and fluffy! The coffee was good too, and the service was fast. We were lucky and got a table even though we didn't book, however I highly recommend making a reservation as many people showed up and had to wait for tables!"
