"Moored up outside this pub on a family narrowboating trip and wish we'd missed it and carried on upriver. Staff were wholly unwelcoming and clearly didn't want us non-locals there. We were made to feel like an inconvenience and a burden even though we were only stopping for one drink and it wasn't busy. Very odd behaviour when you clearly rely on passing trade from river users. Advise avoiding here and stopping at Rose Revived at Newbridge instead."

"Wonderful people, couldn’t do enough for us. Enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch the crackling on the pork was ‘to die for’. I only have one problem, pork obviously does not come with Yorkshire puds. Requested them for three of us. Was told they would cost £1 each which we were willing to pay !! But we’re charged £1.50 each on the bill. Just thought that was a little OTT. However we WILL be back as we have been told we have to try your ham egg and chips."
