"We have eaten in a few restaurants in Boulogne and tried this one as it was market day and the square was difficult to get to so we headed for the old town. There is a good a la carte menu but we went for the 2 set menus. Mine at 15 euros was fantastic value for moulles marineres, rare steak with Roquefort sauce and tarte au pommes. The set fish menu at 18 euros was equally as good. We were there quite early as we were going on the the Channel Tunnel so it was quite quiet but the service was good although I could imagine it slowing down if it got busy. It was good food at a good price in a pleasant location (and a lot cheaper than restaurants in the main town)"

"C'est un petit hôtel très correct comme décrit sur le site. Le personnel y est très sympa, accueillant et souriant.La restauration est bien orchestrée, bien présentée et copieuse.Dans un immeuble classé historique, les propriétaires ne font pas ce qu'ils veulent.Mais c'est aussi un charme que de retrouver des escaliers un peu étroits avec des marches inégales en hauteur.Bref, un court séjour agréable dans cet hôtel.MAIS attention HISTORIQUE ne veut pas dire VETUSTE! J'entend par là la douche de la chambre 3 !!!!Là, cela reste INADMISSIBLE.J'invite les propriétaires à prendre RÉELLEMENT une douche dans cette chambre pour comprendre mon commentaire et de grâce faire les frais, il y a urgence .....Bien sincèrement JM GILLES"

"We sat by an attentive waiter. the menu consisted of 2 fixed price options, but with the option to switch between the 2. we ordered bark meat that arrived on a cold dish, the bark meat was cooked according to request, but was chewing and hard, it...was a large smear of pure flower cauliflower (under seasoned for us) a little greener veg, a large “chip” and Gravy type sauce. we ordered puds, lemon balm beautiful, coffee / chocolate cake beautiful and a chocolate mousse. the latter was in a lumpy chocolate bowl sprayed with some edible gold spray. Maybe that should distract from what it actually looked like! the mousse was placed in a jam that exaggerated the delicate taste of the mousse. really disappointed with our meal given the good reviews, but for all of us, not a place to go back."
