"We have eaten here in the past. It seems a quiet hotel restaurant but I believe it could be busier if they improved their fare. I had a Salada Mista to start and my wife had Crispy Chicken, unfortunately almost half the chicken nuggests were still partially frozen when served. Our main courses were much better my wife's first choice wasn't available but she settled for Grilled Black pork Loin which she enjoyed had the Couscous with grilled vegetables which was an excellent vegetarian mean. Service was very good, friendly staff. It was our experience in the past too that things we ordered from the menu were not available. We had mixed fruit for desert. We would have liked to eat there more often but the experience with the crispy chicken was off putting. We will, I'm sure, try it again when next we are in Manta Rota."

"Maria, the proprietor of this restaurant since May of this year is producing very good food at very competitive prices. I was particularly impressed with her Tiborna of Goats Cheese and honey - which had wonderful flavours (including Rosemany) - a wonderful starter. I was delighted to see a vegetarian option on the main course and when we went back a second night she made a very tasty mushroom omelette to order - my wife tried the Pork and potatoes the first night and the estepada (skewer) chicken the second night. The homemade ice-cream was wonderful. We really enjoyed our interaction with the proprietor. There was a constant willingness to satisfy the customer.On our second night two ladies wanted chicken breast but she only had the estepada chicken so she actually went across the road to the supermarket and got chicken breasts and cooked them! This restaurant is one to watch climbing the league table...it is the type of restaurant which was badly needed in Manta Rota. Just next door is the popular Mars Restaurant but Maria's Manta Mar will, I believe give it a run for its money. Maria believes in giving good service, tasty food and value for money - what more could you ask for?"
In beautiful weather you can even eat in the outdoor area.

"... we drove the N125 and stopped for lunch. The service was very friendly not like in the other ratings. Our food was not a rockstar but affordable, good and worth the money. We will stop here again for sure."

"This restaurant is in Manta Rota and lies near the main road at the top of the village. At lunch time is is very traditional and feeds lots of working men their daily hot meal. In the evening it is a pleasant place to eat with excellent staff and prices which are amazingly good value. British Expats will refer to this place as The Argentinian . The restaurant opens at 7pm and offers a choice of three meals, Fish, Chicken and Mixed Meat, all are served with Olives, Bread, Salad, Chips and Rice. A choice of drink, A choice of pudding and coffee to finish. All for 10 euros (2014)."
