"My family and I have been coming here for years. Our order is always the halibut and chips and shrimp and chips. That portions are generous and the batter on the fish is light and crisp, it's not a thick batter that soaks up all the oil. The shrimp is cooked perfect everytime, the same with the halibut where it is moist and flakey.We haven't had a bad experience or meal over the years, they've been consistent even when busy. This restaurant is priced just right for their portions.When dining inside, Ben is a great host and very accommodating.Jasper's definitely ranks in the top for best fish and chips spots in the GTA for me."

"Return visit. The restaurant is in an unassuming location but when you find a nice spot you just go. My staple order is the Daily Seafood Tempura and KOBO Omakase Sushi. The tempura badder is thick and the dipping sauce has a wonderful hint of ginger. The sushi omakase is at a great price and excellently executed. I enjoyed hamachi, sake, maguro, ika, ebi and was surprised with the contents of the lobster roll. My wife ordered the seafood udon and the broth was spot on with fresh noodles. This is a great Japanese run restaurant that draws me out to Pickering often. 90"

"Tucked away behind the 401 at Port Union Road, this is an unexpected dining treat. Cosy restaurant with an expansive menu of pastas, pizzas and mains, you'll likely find something for all tastes. The pizza is excellent and reliable, makes a great appetizer for sharing. Pastas are typically very good also, all made fresh to order with options to create your own twist on the standard offerings. This time tried the set meal, with 4 courses for $26 it was great value and delicious. Delighted to have this nearby as a dining option, always a wonderful meal here."

"Wimpy’s Rylander; My family and I have been going there for over a decade. As there was a switch in ownership, I can say there is more of a reason to be dinning here. The staff and the chefs serve up an amazing combo of Great food and service and I must say, it is always an experience to remember. From the moment you step through the doors, you are transported back in time with the retro décor. The attentive staff greeted me with genuine smiles, setting the stage for an exceptional evening.Everything (that I can eat) is amazing. I don’t eat beef and pork so any seafood, chicken or veggie dishes that I have had are amazing. The flavours dance on my tase buds, its like a party in my mouth with every bite. My go to dishes is the penne with Rose sauce and the fish and chips.The pasta is cooked perfectly combines with the rose sauce, I add spinach and mushrooms to my dish with a bit of cheeses on top. This also comes with garlic bread which is also delicious. The fish and chips (fries) also very yummy. The beer batter on the fish has a great taste to it. The batter is perfectly missed with seasoning and is evenly battered on the fish. The Onion rings also have the same batter on them."

"Good Halibut.. This is the best Fish Chips I have found within the area and I have been going for years. Stick with the Halibut Chips or Halibut on a Bun and you won't be disappointed (Spend the extra dollar or two). The halibut is a good, thick potion. I swear some of the other places are cutting their filets in half and soaking on more batter not the case here. The batter is a lot lighter than most places, and it makes for a higher fish to batter ratio. Also, the chips are highly addictive."

"Staff were great, restaurant was clean but fish and chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil, fish was thin and they didn't make their tartare sauce it was the awful package stuff. If you specialize in fish and chips you should have a house made tartare sauce."
