"This is a wonderful place for a great Indian meal. Good service and great food. The flavours of the different dishes were outstanding and the cleanliness was excellent. A great choice of outstanding vegetarian dishes. Definitely worth a visit."

"Lovely building a superior room... no hot water. Told the reception team and they just smiled politely. Yes??? And??? Anyway only there for one night so left it at that and had tepid warm showers. Dinner was nice. Drinks rather pricey and the reception area bar was not really ideal for an intimate night out. All open plan and noisy. Overall an average stay."

"The food was good: the excellent scenes, the cake so, the service was decent. I think it could have been so much better. how about real tea and coffee tea bags and brewed. beautiful old china tassen against commercial tassen and teller. it is a beautiful environment, a great place for a high time, but felt as by afternoon tee was just an add on."

"Our first visit here since before the pandemic. Our previous experience had been excellent but this time we were underwhelmed to say the least. Despite the restaurant being a third full the service was slow and mildly disinterested with the waiting staff disappearing for long periods..One of our party had a shell fish allergy and asked for his dish to be served without a prawn butter. Either the chef or waiting staff forgot and while most of our party were served the one with the allergy was kept waiting while some other dish was created for him when the error was discovered. No one was quite sure what he was eventually served but it bore little relation to what he received about ten minutes behind everybody else. Unfortunately he was the one celebrating his birthday. We did order another couple of glasses of wine but they did not arrive till we finished eating. Although oddly the waiting staff acknowledged the problems no kind of compensation was offered. £50 per head for two courses each topped it off. They won't see us again alas."

"You could read a news paper through the meat,it was cut so thin.god forbid you ask for it to be cut a bit thicker.you can only eat so much,so I can’t really see what the problem is.they guard the meat like they want to take it home.it’s quite funny when they pull a face if you ask for a bit more.OLIVER springs to mind..in fairness there are plenty of vegetables and they are decent.the girls who wait the tables are friendly It makes up for the trainee samurai who serve the meat.this is a carvery stop trying to squeeze every last sliver of meat from the bone.When we attended the restaurant everybody in the queue had the same opinion in fact when a certain young carver came out from the kitchen there was an audible.intake of breath.It would appear he has a reputation for his knife skills..that being said I think watching these people trying to get 300 hundred slices of gammon is part of the day out. Give it a go it’s not that bad, they always seem busy."
