"Sehr gemütliches Landwirtshaus etwas ausserhalb von Horgen am Horgenberg im ländlichen Gebiet gelegen. Schöner Gastgarten mit Weinreben als Schattenspender - Innen urchig eingerichtet und eine Stammbeiz für die umliegenden Anwohner. Saisonal gibt es zur Standard-Speisekarte Spezial-Karten wie Oesterreicher-Wochen (immer im April & Oktober), Wildgerichte, Roeschti-Karte & Fondue, im Sommer Gartengrill, zum Jahreswechsel das Silvestermenü und punktuell noch Kutteln. Als Auslands-Oesterreicher kann ich hier nur sagen "Wie bei der Mutter gekocht". Unter der Woche gibt es 3-4 Menüs zu sehr günstigen Preisen inkl. Suppe und Salat (ab 15.50.-). Das Service funktioniert trotz kleiner Truppe auch in hektischen Zeiten speditiv und freundlich und die Essenqualität bleibt gleich hoch. Während der Oesterreicher- Wochen trägt das Personal Dirndeltracht und nach dem Essen gibt's gratis einen Marillenschnaps. Das Essen wird immer frisch gekocht. Man merkt an der Qualität den Familienbetrieb. Gute Weinkarte, normale Preise, super Qualität -> Was will man mehr ! Will man mal mehr Alkohol konsumieren, so fährt alle halbe Stunde fast vor dem Haus ein Post-Bus (150) nach Horgen und Wädenswil. Manchmal kann es passieren, das die Parkplätze knapp werden. Hier hilft es aber, scnell vor dem Haus anzuhalten und die Wirtin Herta zu fragen, denn sie hat immer eine Lösung beim angrenzenden Bauernhof parat. Zu erwähnen wäre noch, dass im Gasthaus auch "Urnäscher" Bergkäse zum Mitnehmen angeboten wird."

"We ordered take-out and although they do delivery from CHF 20, we picked it up in the restaurant. Service was friendly. The menu is a mix of mainly Swiss and a few Asian dishes. We ordered the springrolls, the green curry with chicken and a chicken cashew nuts dish. Food tasted kind of bland. Prices are decent according to Swiss norms.
