"This is probably the best sushi I've found in the East Texas area. My grandson loves sushi and many have been tested. Creative and tasty combinations on the special menu. You can all be customized to add and remove. Make sure that building your own role from scratch is expensive here. I have found that it is better to easily adapt one of their stack rolls from you to restore a favorite from somewhere else. The bowls are also good. They're a little fat, but good in taste. The service is fast, and the personalities are much different than an rude manager we met and work at the cashier. Maybe because he had to cover the hosting station. Not terrible, but rude anyway. OVERALL this is place worth a try to see if they fit your taste profile. You stay on our current restaurant turn."

"I've been to this place twice. First trip was good service and ok food. The 2nd trip I decided to bring 10 friends and family. We arrived and the waitress seated us and took our drink order. One of our guest decided to go check the buffet out and was pointing his finger towards the back of the establishment letting everyone in our party see how big the food spread was. All of a sudden the head waiter came out and started screaming at him for no reason. It took the nice waitresses to calm this crazed waiter down. We were shocked by his rudeness. While we were eating, the same waitress apologized several times while the head guy just stood the at his station. The waitress said they would give us a good discount because of what happen. When we got the bill she only took off $4 dollars from a $88 dollar bill. We won't be going there again !"

"Update 26. July 2022: Due to the return of the original Hibachi cook, Nijiya re-introduced her hibachi entrées this week! Today was the first day of reintroduction, and I inaugurated to try the lunch special. I chose the vegetables Hibachi since I am vegetarian, and it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend coming in and falling in love with their delicious fried rice... Just remember that certain items they wore (i.e., bento boxes, yakisoba, udon, oyakodon) are not available only the hibachi entrees! Also note that it is a small restaurant with limited staff, so if it is busy (especially now with the return of the hibachi-loving customers), it can get a wait for space or service. But this is totally worth it! _____________ The most beautiful, fresh and delicious sushi in the area with a welcoming family environment. Great offers for lunch specialties, also with nationwide inflation on products. You have great vegetarian options – just ask the waiter! My personal favorite is the Amazing Roll, replacement sweet potato instead of shrimp tempura. The Fast Dessert Roll is also a must! One thing I appreciate about the sushi is that they do not drown the rolls in the sauce, so you are able to taste the fresh ingredients in balanced bites. More sauce can be served on the page if you want a little extra! It is BYOB, so if you want to bring alcoholic drinks, just plan to bring your will, wine, etc., with you. Also, as a side note, they did not have Hibachi/fried rice in over a year – it was permanently set. There are still tons of other delicious options to choose from!"

"I can't say enough good things about Barkeeps. My only regret is to eat too many appetizers and not be able to finish my entree. The owners are so sweet! They talk to you like their family and told us the story they came to build the place and the menu. They are also very gluten-free friendly. If you're looking for Asian Cuisine, just come here. They wipe every other Asian restaurant out of the water. I am so impressed by all tastes. I'm just upset that I didn't visit this place earlier. I thought they tied up to college kids for some reason. But there is a lively bar atmosphere that is great if you want to dine alone, but not just FEEL. Then the dining room is open and quiet if you want to bring your family. The curry is a must try on the food side. The blushing geisha is a must try on the beverage side! (Be careful, it's a sweet drink that doesn't taste like alcohol. It's made of coconut, so it's nice and different. But I'll be back for the steak!"

"We have stopped by at Ocean Buffet twice now when passing through Nacogdoches. Both times we had a pleasant experience. They have a nice selection of dishes that you expect from a good Chinese buffet and the food tastes great! Both me and my husband and my child always find something to our liking. I personally love sushi and this place a nice variety, with raw fish and without. As a pleasant bonus, this place also boasts a hibachi grill. My stir fry was finger licking good. For children, they have pizza and French fries and chicken nuggets. My daughter also totally loves their desserts and a large variety of icecream flavours! I would recommend this place for anyone who loves Chinese food and sushi."

Likes: Variety of the well-known standard dishes PLUS a few things you may not have tried before (Squid Salad is my personal favorite), flavor flavors of food as expected (because better than Beijing in my opinion), portion size is generous, friendly staff area of opportunity: The speed of food preparation is somewhat slow as in the restaurant service greeting and seat pickup, restaurant is clean, as far as I could say, but the interior and aesthetics (if you can call it), as well as service recipients are worn, dated, and in need of some DC, updating, and a fresh coat of color."
